Lydia pulls into his driveway and sees that his bedroom window is open, and the lights are off. But if she cranes her neck, she can see his laptop open, the light from the screen obnoxiously bright in the darkness.

She sits in her car, arguing with herself for several minutes, until she finally turns off the ignition and gets out of the car.

Lydia glances back at her phone as she approaches the Stilinski house, digging with her other hand in her purse for the spare key. She’d sent him a text not ten minutes ago: You awake?

Mere seconds later, she’d gotten her boyfriend’s response; the laughing with tears emoji.

She took that to mean she could come over.

Stiles and Lydia were researching homework assignment on his laptop. It was almost ten, he kept looking at the screen to understand what she was telling him. He scooted closer, she noticed this as she suddenly felt a shiver when both their arms touched. Her eyes directed at him after this,

“You know, I never explained it to you. ” She suddenly changed the subject not referring to the homework.

“Explained what?”

“The Riemann Hypothesis,”

Stiles’s confuse stare bore into her, she rolled her eyes at the typical reaction, “I mean when I was in that paralyzed state, I could hear you. I just couldn’t- snap out of my state. ” Lydia’s lips moved slow as she whispered softly since Stiles’ dad was sleeping on the other room.

“Oh Lydia, I was just trying to wake you-”

“Okay now everything you just said is going over my head. I’m surprised that’s even English.” He rubbed his eyes with his hands as they popped open looking completely dumbfounded to what she had just explained. 

Silence took over the room, with both of them beaming hard stares at each other. Stiles leaned down closer to her face and smiled, “I missed that.”

Lydia smiled looking deeply into his eyes, quickly she stared down at his lips, suddenly getting a rushing feeling in her body she had been getting a lot after he had saved her at eichen house.

She found it so attractive the way Stiles went through all the risks, to get to her. She was very appreciative of the pack saving her too, but with Stiles, ever since he did that, she just couldn’t brush off what she was feeling.

“Stiles, remember..” Lydia inhaled and exhaled, “-how you used to feel about me? your crush on me?”

“Yes very clearly.” His stare teared away from her as he gulped looking down at the ground. “Why?”

“Well now that the dynamics changed, you know, now that you’ve had girlfriends and stuff-Do.. do you still feel that way about me?”

“Lydia- that is something that will probably always be with me- I just learned to burry it. Why are we talking about this?” Curiosity rose within him.

“Because we never talked about it before, you know? I just kind of brushed you off. But now, something’s different..” Her hand kept scooting closer to his until it landed on top of him. 

He gasped a little, Is she flirting with me? Stiles thought to himself. Seeing his reaction, she snapped out of what she was doing as she stood up from her seat pacing around looking frustrated

 “Stiles am I crazy?! All I think about now when I’m around you is how it would feel if your arms wrapped around my waist for longer than two minutes. When you cup my cheeks like this,” She grabbed his hands and placed them on her cheeks,

 “I love that feeling.” She breathed closing her eyes. Stiles watched silently observing, craving what she was going to say next. He didn’t stop her, he couldn’t. scratch that, He didn’t want to.

“You don’t even want to know what I want your lips to do to me.” He couldn’t close his mouth now, he was too shocked by her words. Was he hearing this right? The girl he had always wanted finally coming to her senses when it came to their lingering feelings.

“I-” Lydia stuttered. “I’m sorry I need to go.” She let his hands fall down back to his regular standing position and away from her cheeks. She walked out the house not realizing there was a huge thunderstorm outside until the water droplets landed on her. 

“Lydia where are you going?!”

“Lydia!” He called her as tears streamed down her face, she felt pathetic. Stiles wouldn’t want to have anything with me now. And why would he? I practically waited too long to realize my feelings for him. 

“Lydia..” He called one last time until she turned to face him. “Why would you say this too me why now?! You are on dangerous territory.”

“Dangerous territory?”

“yES!” He yelled at her in a goofy way. 

“Why?” She asked.

Both of them were soaked now. “Because what I do next is your fault.”

“What are you going to do?” She ran closer to him confused. He ran quickly now very close enough for him to place his lips on her. Smashing his mouth with hers,  he connected the space left between them. 

She didn’t pull away, this time, she let him. Because then she realized this was what she was looking for all along. After a couple of minutes, the finally stopped.

“C’mon let’s get you inside and change into warm clothes so you don’t get sick.” Lydia was usually confident but in that moment she felt very vulnerable with him, very shy. Stiles being concerned about her warmed her heart.

Who knew the silly crush he had would develop their adult years into something more?

Yall I should be season six’s script writer. lmao
