“ I wonder...would the reward be worth the risk to sign ownership of my business over to my cousin, do something different, go somewhere different?” She will weigh these options in her mind for several more weeks to months. This idea having already been floating about in her head for a long time prior.

“Of course, I suppose I shouldn’t be so surprised either,” he stated with a laugh before shrugging his shoulders. “Oh you know. Just the usual, usual.”
He looked out towards the ocean. “Working a little bit. Visiting my son here. Mostly just enjoying the ocean and the sunshine and the fresh air,” he explained. “How was Milan?”
“Milan was alright if not a little busier than usual this season, but unlike the last time I did not get lost on my way back to the hotel. Wherein my brain somehow was confused by the winding medieval streets and I found myself due south completely away from my original destination.” Which was frustrating and embarrassing all at once, except for when a very beautiful Italian woman took Skye back in the right direction for she too was staying at the same spot.
Fortuitous. If not sigh inducing since said woman was probably not interested in being flirted with by an American woman.
“Oh, how is your son doing?” The witch was now momentarily racking her brain trying to remember if Kleitos had mentioned this child before.

“Still the same ol’ Skye,” he mused, returning the hug, his arms resting on her waist after she pulled back. It was nice to see that everyone was okay after so long. Maybe even more so that people actually missed him. Perhaps he should leave more often?
“Still running that shop, by the way? I hope it’s doing okay. Then again, it’s you, so I definitely can’t see you haven’t a customer problem.”
“I try not to change too much so I hope I’m the same ol’ Skye.” Eyes lit up a bit as she smiled. “My shop is still doing well, yes. Right now I have two of the women who work for me manning it while I take this little break. I honestly am glad that the place has held up as well as it as for as long as it has; you wouldn’t think an occult shop would be too popular but here we are.”
So nice to see someone again who she had not had contact with in so long; the feeling was a sensation of elation and warmth intermixed. Especially when Skye often wondered if the individual would ever actually return?

Jet’s face flashed red as she spoke that she missed him, sapphire hues dimming as he looked up at the witch. “Well, I’m glad to know that I was missed. Normally when I disappear like that, people don’t bat an eyelash. But maybe that’s just because I tend to have to deal with other things, so none of my friends take it personally.”
His hand ran through his hair.
“But enough about thatttt. What are you up to, all the way out here, hmm?”
The red look made Skye giggle a bit as she strode over a bit closer before opening her arms and wrapping Jet in a warm hug after a beat or two. Her chin rested comfortably on the man’s shoulder while giving a soft squeeze before pulling back a little bit.
“Just a little wanderlust got to me this week is all. Thought I would take advantage of that and just take a drive around to see what caught my fancy; lo and behold it’s you.”

“Ah, you say it like it’s some sort of surprise,” the vampire cooed easily, lifting his sunglasses to nestle them on top of his head and wrapping his towel around his shoulders to protect himself from the sun though he was already getting a red glow to his cheeks. “What are you doing here?” he smirked.
“Kind of only because you are a bit of a traveling man; I might go to France and you’d be there by chance.” She chuckled a little bit and her eyes took notice of the redness beginning to pop up on his cheeks.
A vampire who likes to sit out and enjoy the sun was more than a little amusing to her. Especially when the guy would probably start looking something akin to a lobster in less than an hour or two at this rate but, would he actually remove himself from the pleasant Greek sun?
Probably not.
“Decided to give myself a fun little vacation. I just came from Italy, Milan actually, and the next place on my little Mediterranean trip was here. Haven’t actually hit out this way in almost a year and a half now? So, seemed like I was long overdue.” The woman took a seat nearby him crossing her ankles and looking over. “What have you been up to?”

“Eh, you know, the normal stuff, working way harder than this pretty face should have to, but I manage, I manage. I guess with how hard I’ve been working, time just kinda… slipped by. I haven’t really paid too much attention. I try not to think about that type of stuff too much.” He looked over at her. “And what about you, hmm? Staying out of trouble, I hope.” He snickered. “Well, I haven’t been around, so I guess trouble hasn’t found you.~”
Whatever was normal to him was probably not normal to anyone else; more than likely anyway. She listened with a soft quirk of her lips and a small chuckle to follow suit as her hand gestured casually.
“Ah--only staying out of as much trouble as I can manage to anyway. Though your absence has made good behavior a lot easier all in all but, I can’t say that I was any better off for it though but, you don’t like to think about time slipping by?” Seemed to be that there was something which Jet was skirting around by and part his lengthy absence but, then the witch wasn’t going to just pry if the need wasn’t necessary. “Missed you though.”

“What, did you think I kicked the bucket or something? Come on, now, it’s me. You really think death is going to kill this pretty face? Not a chance.~” A somber smile, as his voice came down in tone.

“It is good to see you again as well, Jet. What have you been doing with yourself being gone all this time?” She took a step or two forward tucking a bit of her hair behind her ear.
“It was cold, warm, cold, warm ....” She sneezed a little, “This is going to be a terrible winter.”

He made his way over to sink down next to her. “Are you alright? Do you want to talk…?”
Did she want to talk? Her thoughts were just twenty different kinds of bizarre and nothing about piecing them together had made any sense for the past couple days but, all Skye knew was that her mind was stuck on a certain thing. A few things that led to a certain thing.
Again, hard to really piece together.
Her eyes lifted to Zaide though and the woman felt she owed it to him to at least attempt an explanation for her bizarre behavior.
“I’ve....” this was going to be a little hard, “I’ve got some baggage that I have been trying to work through lately. It’s some pretty ....heavy stuff and I didn’t really want to ...” Skye sighed a bit feeling a bit stupid the more she spoke. “I felt bad even partially venting to you about it at all because, well, we all have our shit that we go through and I wasn’t sure if you needed me to just drop my problems onto you.”

Ah well, now he wasn’t so sure about saying it again. “Uh…are you sure you’re going to be alright?” he asked slowly, rubbing the back of his head.
Skye let out a soft sigh before sinking back onto her sofa. “Sorry I didn’t hear you the first time....I...think I’ll be alright. Just been having a weird week is all.”
