Hey- Hey! I'm Chiko, Ace Trainer extraordinaire here in Victory Road Online. Want to battle?

Desperately needed to draw something not for my art class, so I tried to make a turnaround for a character I haven’t drawn in nearly two years now.  (sans her gigantic trademark curly-cue pigtails b/c there was not enough room for that nonsense)

This is supposed to be Hisako Nakamura, screen name Chiko My Ace Trainer (F) OC for the since-deceased RP Group Victory Road Online (a Sword Art Online / Pokémon mashup)  A short-tempered but generally good-hearted ‘bluenette’ who tries very hard not to show how terrified she is of being trapped in this death game.

I’m not really at all satisfied with these faces, tbh.  The ¾ one is particularly wonky but in general the face shape just isn’t what I was hoping for.  I am pleased that I got her upturned nose mostly right at least.  =3=b  Little victories…

oh lol I guess I should mention that those round things are a part of her hair ties.  XD;;  I put them in there even without her pigtails just so I’d have a reference for where they’re placed.

I Missed You by Misachi-Chan Whoops I still ship it.  I mean just look at these two sassy, sarcastic assholes~<3 I meant to do a lot more with this tbh, but seeing how I started it in July of last year (and already had to completely restart it once due to a hard drive failure), I’m kinda just DONE with it.  :,)

They're Actually Kind of Cute :: Lucas & Chiko

Lucas wheezed and rested his head on Chiko's shoulder.  ”What do you mean I have the physical prowess of a Macargo?  At least give me a cute Pokémon like Smoochum.  Oh my god though.  I almost died.  I know I’ve said that in like, 200 other situations but one was a real ‘I almost died’.”  Shiori chirped nervously and peeked around Lucas to see their pursuers offering her trainer and Chiko so not friendly gestures.

"Don’t worry about it Shiori, I’m used to living life on the edge."  Although normally not quite so literally.  He looked down at her and smirked.  "What’s that look sour puss?  You just did some fancy moves right there.  Like way fancy.  Like.  I would’ve died without your fancy moves, kinda fancy."  She chortled happily, but her Swadloon form etched a semi-permanent frown on her face.

"Well Chiko, I can’t tell which one of us is the one who attracts trouble.  I mean, it’s always people after me, but they never seem to show up unless you’re around."  He tapped his chin contemplatively for a second.  "It doesn’t matter.  After putting you through all that trouble it only makes sense that I treat you to something on the one PokéDollar menu."

“The intended implication was that you have all the jumping abilities of a snail.”  She sighed, still trying to steady her heart over that little scare.  Like with her fall off that cliff, saved by a terrifying but timely glitch, they didn’t exactly know that such a fall would actually kill them here, but clearly neither of them were at all interested in testing the limits of Victory Road Online with their own lives.  Nervously checking over her shoulder several times to make sure that the thugs didn’t have any fliers on them in order to pursue the two young trainers, Chiko nevertheless kept their flight path towards Castelia City until they were long out of sight before wheeling their course away from the obvious destination.  “Whatever you like…”  She mumbled back to Lucas somewhat anxiously as she tried to bolster her pokémon’s clearly faltering energy with a few items.  “But we’ll have to walk it the rest of the way.  We need to get down.”  He might have been able to handle it if she had allowed him to evolve into a Pidgeot already, but as it was, Daed was struggling with the weight of two trainers.  She stroked his feathers, eying the water below and thick forested area ahead. “Just land as soon as you see a clear spot, dear.”  The bird was quick to comply with his trainer’s orders, and descended quickly on the bank of the large river.  “Alright, I’m calling him in-“ She warned Lucas as they approached the ground.  “Brace for landing on your own two feet-“  Pressing the button on the front of Daedalus’ quickball, Chiko didn’t try to take the force of the landing with her legs, but rather tucked her head in, rolling over her shoulder as her Pokémon disappeared to ease her momentum.  Still hurt a bit though.  “Mmph.  Fun fun…”  She looked around for her companions.  “How you doing, kiddo?”

Beauties and their Beasts - Hikari and Chiko

"That’s because it’s not,” Hikari said. She didn’t glance take her eyes off the T.V. out of disgust. She had to see how this fight ended.

"Am I the only that thinks it’s a disgrace to keep up with contests instead of trying to beat this damn game? It doesn’t work like the anime, sweetheart. You can’t win five contests and get out."

Hikari looked over at the girl next to her, who seemed to be the one that commented about the battle. The girl appeared older than Hikari, but she knew that it was simply an Ace Trainer avatar.

A little caught off guard by someone responding to the musing she only now realized that she had even said aloud, Chiko looked over at the girl beside her who had spoken with such venom.  It quickly became clear that the anger was directed more towards the contests than it was at her in any way, so she listened quietly, letting the younger girl vent.

On the one hand, she was inclined to agree, but on the other… well, she really had no business saying such things considering that she put virtually no effort into finding a way out of the game herself.  It would just be too hypocritical.  She had spent the first six months after the Lockdown in near isolation, trying to convince herself to believe that this was the only world worth thinking about- when thoughts of dying or never returning home nearly caused her to melt down.  She was slowly getting better, and the mere mention of the entire world they inhabited as being a death trap no longer had her on the verge of a panic attack, but she still had a long way to go.  For now, continuing to focus just on having some kind of life was the best thing for her well-being.

Not really interested in starting a fight with a random stranger, she considered how to respond, and settled on a carefully worded version of what she considered to be the truth.  “I don’t believe they think winning the contests will get them out.  But they need to devote their lives to something, or else they might give up hope.  As much as I wish everyone was looking for the way out, not everyone is strong enough to constantly have their lives on the line like that.”

Just Looking :: Riley & Chiko

He looked, down, scratching his cheek in embarrassment as he listened to her, mumbling words under his breath. "Yeah.. I do like it.." He laughed slightly. "You could’ve kept it if you want. Some people don’t like it that much."

Taking it off, he began to fiddle with the rim at the words ‘messing with you’. "So you were.. then..?" Riley smiled, and began to laugh slightly. "I’m glad you think it’s cool then.."

“Pft, yeah right.”  Like he was going to give up his ‘security blanket’.  Though she had the good courtesy not to say that part.  “Bugger on them, then.  I think it’s very avaunt garde.  But then, fashion’s just one of those things, isn’t it?  To each their own.”  Shrugging, Chiko watched the water for a moment. “It’s been awhile since you left that island, right?  You have any big plans for what you want to do back on the mainland?  You’ve got a PokéCenter back there, thank goodness, but you probably have to stock up on other supplies, right?  And I’m betting you are in desperate need of going to an arcade or a movie something.  Just… de-stressing, you know?”

They're Actually Kind of Cute :: Lucas & Chiko

Lucas tittered nervously as he looked at Chiko’s hand.  She was right, there was no way they’d make it to the other side of the bridge.  He just wasn’t completely sure Daed could hold both of them.  Plus, flying was just not his thing.  Not since the incident with the biker, no siree.  Looking back at the thugs charging at them with their Pokémon, he realized he didn’t really have much of a choice.

image

"Gh, okay make room."  Shiori wiggled out of Lucas’ grasp and began climbing the fence herself.  Lucas stuck his feet into one of the links and hauled himself over the side.  Slowly standing up until he was teetering on top of the fence he gave Chiko a serious look.  "Alright, let’s go."  He bent his knees to jump but immediately lost balance and fell off, plummeting over the side of the bridge.

As he screeched and contemplated his imminent death he felt something grab his legs and chest.  Lucas swung side to side, a sticky web had snatched him mid air.  ”Nice catch.”  He gave Shiori a thumbs up, trying to hold back a shaky laugh.  The Sewaddle was struggling to keep him from falling; her web wasn’t strong enough nor was she large enough to hold him up.

One of the webs snapped and he dropped a few feet while she shot out another one to replace it.  ”Chiko we could use a little help here!”  A second web snapped, while another one quivered trying to hold up his weight.  The Donphan was getting closer and closer to the trio.  Shiori let out a shriek and attempted to ward off the Pokémon by throwing Razor Leaf at it.  A third web snapped and Lucas dropped several more feet, but still swung hundreds of feet above the dark water.

Shiori began to panic and looked between Lucas and the charging Donphan.  She couldn’t hold off the large Pokémon and haul up Lucas at the same time.  Squealing frantically she shot out more webs to try to keep her trainer from falling.  In a sudden burst of white light Shiori evolved out of what appeared to be pure panic.  The light distracted the Donphan long enough for Shiori to hit Lucas with a few more webs and leap onto Chiko’s bird.

"Go, go, go I’m fine just hanging out here."  Lucas chuckled at his own poorly timed joke and attempted to straighten himself up into a sitting position to start climbing up the sticky web.

She had been fine with a fight.  She had been fine running away from the fight.  She had been fine climbing up the bridge’s railing and leaping off it onto her bird to make their final getaway.  Chiko’s general outlook with today’s events that ‘everything would be fine’ plummeted when the boy did.  “LUC-“  She couldn’t even get the name out, too busy spurring Daedalus into action, they dropped into a divebomb in a desperate attempt to catch the other trainer.

Making good use of Daed’s speed stat to drop below where Lucas would be falling to, the Pokémon trainer and partner braced themselves for the impact- but it never came.  Looking up, the answer to ‘why’ became abundantly clear.  Lucas was caught up in a hastily thrown-together web which Shiori was struggling to maintain.  “I- I’m coming!”  Since her bird Pokémon couldn’t hover like a hummingbird or bug-type, Chiko and Daed were forced to continue flying past where they needed to be, circling around to come back with all haste.

Still, she urged the bird on faster, seeing a few snapped lines quickly replaced while they were still in their arc, it was still far too close a call for her tastes.  To say nothing of what it was to him.  A flash of light coming from the bridge ahead caused Daedalus to flinch- losing precious seconds- yet they managed to pass by in time to catch the incoming newly-evolved Shiori.

“When I give the word, just use Razor Leaf to cut him down.”  Chiko said, giving the other trainer’s Pokémon an order without thinking about it while she quickly tried to judge when they needed to fly underneath him.  “Good thing you just did all that practicing on the nuts.  This should be easy.”  She said, trying to bolster the bug’s confidence though all the while her eyes never left Lucas.  If they didn’t get him down soon, the boy was in danger of being cut down by less desirable choices up above…

They were close enough-- “Now-!”  A deathgrip on Daed’s feathers in one hand, Chiko reached her other arm out to catch Lucas as they passed right under him.  Though the sudden weight threatened to topple Chiko and Shiori off their ride with him, some clever little aerial maneuvers on Daed’s part righted their balance and they were off- soon to be only a speck in the sky.  “We should… probably skip a city before landing…”  She panted, lowering their flight path in case Daed wore out and they needed to land fast.  “Cripes… I’m sorry.  I didn’t realize you had the physical prowess of a macargo.”

They're Actually Kind of Cute :: Lucas & Chiko

Lucas held back a grin as he listened to Chiko play along.  The haughty demeanor she adopted stopped the two men, but only momentarily.  They quickly caught back up to the pair; one of them reached for his belt to snap off a PokeBall.  Oh jeez, oh jeez.  Lucas bolted when he heard the Ball click open; scooping Shiori up in one hand and grabbing Chuko with the other he yanked her towards the entrance of the bridge.

image

"It’s like every time I hang out with you someone has to have a problem with me.  Not one day goes by that I don’t get heckled by at least one person with a grudge against me."  While he lamented on his poor luck the sound of pounding footsteps grew closer behind them.  "What should we do?"  Shiori writhed under Lucas’ arm to see what was going on behind them.

A Donphan trumpeted behind them and hit the ground with a loud thump as it was released from its PokeBall.

“Somehow I doubt that I’m the problem child here, Luke-“  She huffed.  Half being pulled along with the boy, Chiko glanced behind at the men as they followed at their heels and threw out their first Pokémon.  “Normally I’d just stop and kick their asses to the curb…”  Facing forward again, she put on a small burst of speed, now pulling Lucas along as she scanned the bridge ahead for an opening as she felt for the opening of Daedalus’ ball.  “But I don’t like battling people when they’re so emotionally charged-“  She groaned, “-makes it a lot harder to make them admit defeat and forfeit.”  And she hadn’t been in this game nearly long enough that actually finishing them was a viable option for her.  That and… well… though she didn’t say it aloud, there was also the matter that she didn’t actually know how strong these two were, so there was the possibility that she was on the weaker side here.  “We won’t make it to the other end in time.  We’ll just have to go out with style.”  Ignoring how her words might be misinterpreted, she hurled the quick ball off the bridge as she pulled them into a sudden, sharp turn.  Releasing and returning to the trainer, the pokéball released the oversized pidgeotto just on the other side of the rails.  Without missing a beat, Chiko released the boy’s hand, climbed up the chest-high ‘fence’ and leapt onto the bird’s back.  Looking back with one hand clutching Daed’s feathery ruff and the other reaching out to Lucas she urged her Pokémon to try to get closer.  “Come on!”

Just Looking :: Riley & Chiko

Riley nodded, and with a surprisingly strong tug at his sleeves from Chiko he began to walk up onto the ferry. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d been on the ferry, so the crowd of people, a big one despite the lack of visitors Iron Island got, and the fake smell of sea air both refreshing, and the latter being nostalgic. Miyazaki was a ocean side prefecture, and despite Saito being further away from the ocean, it was only a drive away. He could remember his friends- no, acquaintances, taking him there in his first year of living in their apartment building, back when he was 18.

He snapped out of drifting to memory lane once he realised the ferry had started moving, and turned to the girl with drill like twin tails. "I’ve been meaning to ask, but what was the point of you taking my hat..?" He asked, eyes drifting to his fedora. "It’s a silly question.. but I just wanted to know. It’s not even that nice of a hat.."

She wasn’t able to completely relax that Riley wasn’t going to suddenly change his mind and hop off the little boat until it had chugged a good fifty meters from the dock, but it looked like he really was coming along after all.  Chiko stood by the rail, gazing back and watching the island slowly grow smaller as they headed back towards the mainland.  Listening to the question, she pondered it for a moment.  “It’s not silly.”  She said simply, considering how to answer.  “Well… you did say I could have whatever I wanted if I won, right?”  The girl smiled wryly, turning and leaning against the rails, her arms propped over them with her elbows hanging off the back of the rails.  “Even if it isn’t ‘nice’, you really like it, don’t you?  So even though it is actually pretty neat, I haven’t seen another one like it, I never meant to actually keep it.”  She tilted her head to the side, looking back towards the island again, adding in an amused undertone, “Though if you hadn’t minded I totally would have.”  Chiko’s smile was briefly chagrined as she reestablished eye contact.  “I guess what it comes down to is that I was just messing with you?  I do think it's cool, though.”  She shrugged apologetically, and that was that.  She still kind of wanted a picture wearing it at least, but considering how annoyed he had been when she took it, it was probably best not to try asking.

They're Actually Kind of Cute :: Lucas & Chiko

"Um, I don’t like that accusation!"  Lucas’ voiced cracked before he continued in hushed tones.  "I didn’t really piss them off per se, but I may or may not owe them some money for helping me out of a rough patch."  Some money was a bit of an understatement.  Really, it was impossible to avoid people in this game, and they weren’t even actively looking for him.

image

"So, we should just get moving."  He popped his collar to hide his neck but really it was no use.  His outfit was too easily recognizable.  A wardrobe change was in order, like a trip to Kalos level wardrobe change.  It’s not like he didn’t have the money to repay them.  He had more than enough.  But why would he give that up unless absolutely necessary?  They just had to avoid them until they could slip into the crowds in the city.

Well well well, who do we have here?"  A meaty hand landed on Lucas’ shoulder and spun him around.  "Looka’ that.  If I remember correctly, you owe us a little cash Luke."  Lucas laughed nervously and batted the hand away.

"Aw, don’t be like that.  I mean it’s not like it was that much.  I can wire it to you later, right after I finish this guide job.”  He gestured towards Chiko, desperately hoping she’d play along.

Sighing softly, she bit back some scathing comments about Lucas’ habits with his customers, acquaintances and general ability to make, well, not exactly enemies, but far from friends.  While they both picked up their pace slightly, where he ducked his head down, raising his collar, she drew herself up a little straighter, fixing her gaze at the far end of the bridge almost as if willing them to arrive there sooner.  If it was working, it wasn’t fast enough as Lucas was caught and she was forced to stop.  While he probably was in the wrong here, that wasn’t nearly enough to deter her need to take care of herself and ‘her own’, so Chiko quickly caught on to Lucas’ subtle suggestion, taking his arm and frowning between the men.  “Get your own guide.”  She said stubbornly, pursing her lips and unconsciously changing her accent a little as if it were some kind of disguise.  “I already paid the first few installments, so he’s not going anywhere but to get me to my destination!”  With an exaggerated little huff, flipping one curly pigtail back over her shoulder and, tugging on the boy’s arm, started to pull him along with her down the bridge as if that were the end of the argument.

They're Actually Kind of Cute :: Lucas & Chiko

Lucas rubbed his hands together greedily and nodded.  ”A Castelia Cone hits the spot every time.  As long as we manage to get in line before it wraps around the city.”  He turned on his heel and marched towards the large bridge that led back into the city.  Shiori inched her way after him; trying to keep up with his long strides.

"Well thanks sis for helping out today and putting up with my shenanigans."  He turned around walked backwards so that he could face Chiko as he spoke.  "We’ll have to hang out again soon so you can see how strong Shiori will get."  Shiori chirped happily and nodded at his comment.  Lucas opened his mouth to change the subject when he noticed a shady looking group that appeared to be heading for the bridge as well.

Pulling his hat down to cover his face he slowed until he was walking next to Chiko.  ”Eh heh, so we should probably start moving a little faster I think.”

She smiled, pleased with his reaction before looking up at the sun’s position in the sky.  “Despite your oh-so-timely arrival,” she teased lightly, still looking up as she judged the current time without opening her menu, “It’s still pretty early, so I think we have a good chance if we get moving.”  Clearly Lucas was not one to risk not getting his ice cream, as he was off before she was, leaving Chiko, Shiori and Reagan behind.  “You don’t have to hurry that much!”  She laughed, starting after him. Quickly drawing even and matching their strides, she couldn’t help but feel a faint tug on her heartstrings at the boy’s next comment, and she glanced down at him, her expression momentarily complicated.  She didn’t really want to discourage him from calling her ‘sis’, it was sweet; but at the same time, it was still painful, remembering Shin and how long it had been since she had been home to put up with her real little brother’s ‘shenanigans’.  She hid the memories as Lucas changed his position, smiling wryly as she reached out to lightly clap him on the upper arm.  “I’m looking forward to it!  Buy me lunch again and it’ll be that much sooner, I promise.”  She joked, sticking her tongue out at him.  Damn, but that sandwich had been good.  She was going to continue, intending to ask about Mrs. Tanaka and if he had seen the ex-teacher now café-owner lately and how she was doing, but the question melted away before she had a chance to ask it, seeing him suddenly clamp his lips together and tug his hat down over his face before pulling back to walk at her side again.  “Lucas, what…”  Chiko had to fight with herself to keep from looking back behind them at whatever he had seen, nearly failing.  Instead, she focused on returning Reagan to her ball, asking the boy in the same low tone as if she really were an older sister about to reprimand a younger sibling, “Lucas… who did you piss off this time?”

Just Looking :: Riley & Chiko

"O-onto the ferry?" He whispered, his hands tugging on the brim of his hat shyly.

He hadn’t been to the mainland in a long time, so it felt a bit strange to think of heading to Canalave. What made his worrying worse was the thought of more trouble coming to the island.

Giving a soft smile, he nodded his head and stepped forward, waiting for her to pay. "I’ll come to Canalave with you."

Seeing him tug on his hat, something she had already marked as a nervous gesture from him, Chiko was sure he would turn her down.  He was so attached to this place for whatever reason, had appointed himself its guardian, so it was no wonder he was hesitant.  But the island, however wonderfully rendered, wasn’t real.  Riley however, was- and it was his safety she was concerned about if that gang was so determined to cause amok.  So when he smiled and stepped forward instead, the tension melted from her shoulders and hands, and her expression relaxed into a relieved smile.  “Good!”  She quickly bought both of them tickets, turning and gripping the end of his sleeves, walking backwards onto the ferry and pulling him along with her before he could change his mind.  “Come on, come on!  They said they wouldn’t be docked much longer.”

Siesta :: Chiko & Calem

Avatar
sunnycalem

The psychic shards glowed and moved quickly towards Franky. Not fast enough to give him a full command to block the attack, Calem had to hope that his pokemon’s defense would be enough to sustain the damage. Seeing his HP bar go down slightly, Calem decided to recover some of that HP.

"Franky, use Leech Seed!" Calem was tense with anticipation. Seeing small glowing seeds being shot out of the pokemon’s spikes, the seeds grew into vines that entangled the floating Miki. They seemed to pierce its membrane, draining some of its energy for Franky. As his health bar grew with a few more points, Calem was readily anticipating Chiko’s next move, set to give a prompt reaction.

Ugh, Leach Seed and similar moves were so annoying.  The little tendrils didn’t cause much damage, Miki seemed to amusedly be viewing them as accessories at the moment, but the leeching effect would continue to take effect even if she knocked the pokémon that had played it out.  At least it hadn’t done much damage for now.  Chiko glanced over Franky, trying to think of an effective way to get around that chunky armor of his.  Well, it would take a little time but- “Alright Miki, I suspect we’ll be at this for awhile, Future Sight!”  Her black eyes opening wide, the little Solosis gazed towards the Quilladin and its trainer, almost seeming to peer through them.  Bobbing gently from side to side in her gel, she hummed as she saw the attack to come, and Chiko smiled, it seemed that it would be a pretty solid hit.

Beauties and their Beasts - Hikari and Chiko

For Hikari, going into the Pokemon world never meant contests, never mind gym battles. But for some reason curiosity got the best of her once again.

She was staying in the Hearthome City Pokemon Center, and she happened to see a contest on the big T.V. She wondered if maybe she could watch one, but the thought was pricking at her nerves.

She didn’t know why she wanted to watch. Probably just curiosity, but the contests stood for things Hikari never understood or cared to. Most annoyingly, the beauty part. Why should she care for primping when there’s people dying here?

The thought made her shudder. Regardless, she was still curious, and wanted to see what it was like in the game world. For now, she sat on the couch and watched what was going on, until someone sat down next to her.

She was making her way towards Kanto, where she was thinking to finally begin challenging some gyms.  Despite her own region of origin being Unova, something just felt right about starting in what was considered in the lore of the world to be the oldest and most traditional of the regions.  It was, at least, where the Pokédex began in most of its versions.  For now however, she was still in Sinnoh due to her last visit to Sunyshore, however unintentional that visit had been.  Seriously, screw Team Galactic.  This was the biggest city she had been in in some time, Chiko noted as she moved through the wide streets, looking for the Pokémon Center.  Various signs tipped her off that the name of the place was apparently Hearthome.  Kinda cute name, actually; she bet the players that originated here really did try to make it their ‘home’- base at least.  Finally making it into the Center, the trainer was a bit dismayed to find it especially busy.  The drawback of large towns.  Not that her team was in particularly bad shape, but she did try to heal them up properly whenever she had the chance.  Normally she would be stocking up on items as well, but she frankly had maxed out most of the basic healing items in her inventory when she raided that Galactic base in return for kidnapping and almost whiting her out.  Well, she was already here, she might as well wait for the line to thin out a little before moving on.  With a little huff, she turned back towards the lobby of the PokéCenter, turning and falling into one of the few open couch seats and crossing her arms as she leaned back and tried to settle in for what would probably be a fair wait.  Slightly agitated still, Chiko glanced at the nearest TV anchored high on the wall.  “That doesn’t look like a proper battle…?” She mumbled to herself, frowning slightly and tilting her head after watching the featured pokémon’s moves for a few moments.

Riley looked around, his eyes still unadjusted to the light of the outside, but he pointed down the stairs.

"Go down the stairs and past the Pokemon Centre, then a bit further ahead and there should be the docks." He mumbled, still unsure whether he’d been pointing in the right direction.

Turning to Chiko, still blinking a bit from the light, but fairly adjusted, he kept his somewhat straight face while trying to keep the smile off of it and he pointed. "Shall we go?"

After a little nod they continued walking, and soon after reaching the bottom of the stairs the ferry began to come into view.  The way he kept changing how he referred to whom was going down to the docks was beginning to concern her, though.  Was it she or they?  Fiddling with the end of one of her pigtails as they drew near to the little boat, about to pay and board, she finally looked up at Riley as he hung back and asked, “You are coming… aren’t you?”

They're Actually Kind of Cute :: Lucas & Chiko

Lucas rubbed his hands together greedily.  ”I was thinking of having some fun while we’re out here.  I don’t come this way through Unova very often, people already know where everything is.”  He waved his hand dismissively.  Reminding himself of that fact only brought on some anxiety.  It was a constant fear that people would grow out of the habit of hiring a guide to take them, well, literally everywhere.  ”Shiori needs to learn to have some fun before she gets herself all worked up with improving her accuracy.”

"Plus I’m getting tired from sitting out here doing nothing.  It’s hard work trying to be motivational you know."  Shiori rolled her eyes but accepted that Lucas was packing up for the day.  "So do you want to do something?  Or I mean, if you have something better to do you can leave if you need."  He shrugged.  "Your choice."

“Heh, whatever you say, boss.”  Chiko teased with a little shrug, mimicking how the ‘gym guy’ Clyde had referred to his Gym Leader.  She personally thought that quitting so soon was a bit of a waste, but Lucas was the relevant trainer here, so it was his call.  In any case, Shiori seemed to have accepted the decision, so there was no reason for her not to.  Patting her thigh to call Reagan back to her side from where she had been scampering about, she glanced over the area they were in, making sure they weren’t forgetting anything.  “I don’t know- what do you have in mind for ‘fun’?”  She grinned, an eyebrow tweaking upwards.  Tell you what, if you want to head back the way we came, I’ll treat you to a Castelia Cone.”  A nice gesture in response to how promptly he came out here to meet her, knowing how busy he could be with his tourguide routine.
