Hi! This is Mai, I love painting watercolors with @taylorswift's lyrics —seriously, instant happiness. These are some examples of the simplest pieces I created. You can find more of my art here.

The situation we are going through has affected millions, as we know, and I was hoping I didn't have to be here now. But my working hours were cut down to half, meaning I am getting paid 50% less. I am using my savings to cover my expenses and until a few days ago I thought it was going to be enough, but I work in tourism in an island, meaning our business field has been hit very badly and they estimate it won't recover for the next year and a half. Therefore, I will —in the best case scenario— keep working half of my usual hours for more months than I can afford.

The reason of this post is to start selling my watercolors. This way you get your favourite lyrics/quote in a colourful watercolour and also help me. My country economic situation is chaotic, so if I sell one watercolour a day I could pay almost half of rent —as one dollar in my currency is 64 times more (and this increases regularly)!

I am scared of what's to come as most of you, I am sorry I am doing this. I feel annoying. But also, I hope I can bring some light into your day with my artwork.

You can request any lyrics/quote with your favourite colour/s —or let me pick the colours. Once it's done, I will send you an HQ scan of the piece you can print, use as a screensaver or gift it to someone you love!

UPDATE May 6th

Tonight I got a call from my boss, saying I'm getting a 10% cut down on top of the 50%. I truly don't know how I am coping after next month.
