「 ☀ 」It was her job to make sure that no creepy people were lurking about in the theme park. It was mostly to protect the children and teenagers that were so commonly found in the park. Sure, there were parents and boyfriends and girlfriends to protect each other but there were always the occasions when they were alone and she was entrusted with the duty to protect them! Well, sorta anyways. Her job was to sell balloons but … the sound of screeching wheels echoed as the duck costumed worker scooted just slightly closer to the strange person standing in the far corners. He was acting weird. Really weird. Like super weird. Scooch, scooch. Scoooooooooooch. If he didn’t notice the blindingly yellow duck coming closer, he’d notice her now. “Quack, quack.”

          As said for many decades before, curiosity killed the cat.This was true, even in Sei's case. 

          Due to his nature, he couldn't help but take interest to things he had no knowledge of. Strange moving structures; humans sitting on strange moving structures. Could he have a closer look? He wanted one. Slow movements disguised by shadows, the man would try his best to conceal his movements towards the object to his curiosity. 

          It worked, for a little while. He could've sworn he almost had a heart attack the moment he saw a large yellow figure moving towards him.

     What was that thing?

     Is it going to hurt him?

     No, no no no.

     He has to get out, now. 

          Alarmed optics would search for a new hiding place, though it seemed taking his attention off of the person(?) moving closer to him was a mistake on his behalf. As soon as he reached the conclusion there wasn't anywhere to hide, his gaze returned to find it closing in on him quickly. He'd wipe his palms that were beginning to sweat, along his jeans, and tried to stop trembling hands from shaking quite so much. Turning to run behind whatever was closest, this object being a barrell. The thought had once occurred to him, maybe he's overreacting, though he'd soon disregarded it and told himself that this was the normal answer to this situation. So, he'd keep trying to hide, moving to a new place when she got too close.

Two Collide || bravingthefears

Kage was resting above the tree as usual on a quiet road that human will usually avoid enjoying the peace and quietness as he close his eyes. He perked his ears when he heard footstep approaching the place from the scent of the person approaching. Kage could tell that the other wasn’t human. He peered down to see who it was before he decided if he should show himself.

          If the boy had owned a watch, he would've noticed the long hours he'd been walking sooner. Now with exhaustion filling him, he wasn't even close to home, therefore opted to finding somewhere to sit down for a few minutes; relax and regain some strength. He'd been following a fairly quiet path, it didn't seem to be a very busy place but he still kept his guard up for and company that might decide to join him. Friendly company would be welcomed though he'd learned from experience that it wasn't the usual kind of company you'd get while travelling somewhere like this. 

          Demyan wouldn’t listen to that for a second. If anything, they’re both lucky to have found one another. The only unlucky thing about this is that they haven’t seen each other in what feels like ages. It’s been so long since they’ve last kissed that he’s actually a little nervous, but he’s going to go for it anyway.

           Really, he had planned to give Ali’s cheek a little kiss, but he would actually inadvertently gravitate toward the other’s mouth— placing a soft, short, kiss on Ali’s lips. He couldn’t help himself.

           “It’s good to s-see you again, Ali. I missed you.” 

          It'd been much to long from their last kiss, and the boy had felt quite lonely without the presence of the other around. Though, he'd still argue without a single doubt that he was the luckier, that Demyan was that amazing. He was so sweet, and absolutely adorable, after all. 

          Honestly, Ali had always been nervous when it came to the subject of kissing, even if there hadn't been a time gap; he would've been. Something about being too affectionate, or moving too quickly. Still, would that stop him from leaning back in to steal another kiss after the first? Not at all. 

           "I missed you too, Demy. I missed you a lot." He'd murmur, instinctively trying to move himself as close as he could to him. 

You see a baby fruit bat flailing helplessly on the ground, because he can’t fly. Loud squeaks can be heard while he attempts to wiggle out of the way of many falling footsteps, panicked sounds echoing some more.

          What's that? It's alive, but what is it? What's wrong with it? Can he help? He wants to. 

          Maybe a slow approach will work? That's what he decides on, anyway. 

     "I won't hurt you, I really won't." His voice wasn't too loud, a step above a whisper, if anything. 

           A simple blink of crimson optics, as the male had successfully gotten his attention. Believe it or not, such a thing was quite hard to get. The astronomers’ head tilted, an impulse shooting through his gut to approach. But - such a thing would be strange, now wouldn’t it?

          With the knowledge of someone's attention being focused on him, dark hues would send nervous glances towards the knowing gaze. Alis was always quite anxious of being the focus of anything, and the little fidgets that would run through his body made that obvious. He almost wanted to hide himself. 

Beautiful Day || Sable and Aki

"Uh…" He glanced left and right a few times, not wanting to make eye contact. But when she asked her question, he made eye contact with her and held it. At first, he didn’t say anything in response. He just stared at her, remembering what he had done. It made him feel sick. Though he was quite detached from what he had done, being in a different state of mind, he still remembered it clearly.

He covered his eyes with his hand and faced downwards. “I should have apologized for that in the beginning, shouldn’t I have? And I should have found you and said it sooner… I’m sorry, Aki. I just… I don’t…” He didn’t know what to say is why he didn’t face her. It was cowardly but at the time, he thought it was for the best of them both. But being with her now made him realize he was wrong.

"I wasn’t myself. But I guess that isn’t a good reason, is it." That wasn’t a question. He looked up and uncovered his eyes, giving her a sad smile. "It was a spell of sorts. What you saw was… Well, what I did to you, that state of mind I was in, you got to meet what I was like in the past, Aki. Not the me you know, not who I am now, but… Well, it really was me."

          An exhale of breath would leave her, nervous energy filling her as she waited for an explanation. She'd been afraid of seeing him again, honestly. She knew something was wrong that time, but she hadn't realized it soon enough to stop what had happened. Her reaction hadn't done more than fan the flames at the time, either. Their meeting again hadn't been avoidable, she knew that from the time they'd parted. Though they had succeeded in prolonging their distance from each other. 

          Blue optics would soften, anger almost forgotten, though there was still a degree of hesitance encased. She wanted to trust him like she had before, yes, but their last encounter left that faith shaken and beaten. "It's obvious you weren't yourself; the you I knew wouldn't have done something like that." Though, after that time it left her questioning just how well she knew him, after all. Aki would only hope this discussion could clear most of those inquiries. 

           "You talked about your previous ways before.. You were really that terrible?" It was not an easy thing to believe; she only knew him from the day he'd stumbled into her home, and he'd been extremely kind to her if you excluded that incident. "I can hardly see you acting like that all the time. It doesn't suit the Sable I know. Even if it was in previous days." Not to mention how much she refused to believe it, due to her previous trust in him. 

"Oh, thank goodness," Remi exhaled, grateful for any semblance of help. If he hadn’t been listening though, the boy’s soft voice might have flew right over his head. "I’m trying to get to the closest place to eat. I’m fuckin’ stavin’. Think you could help me find a place?"

          Although there was a relieving sense to the man's reaction, the boy was home to some nervous that wouldn't calm down for anything. It wouldn't be hard to completely miss Seiryuu's speech, as quiet as he was. Still, he'd try to raise his voice to be heard, this time. "Well, there's a f-few places around. What kind of food do you l-like?" He was pretty sure his hands were trembling by now, but Sei only hoped the man wouldn't notice that. 

Sable laughed; there was a mix of nervousness yet good humor in it. “Hopefully we don’t? That does not inspire much confidence! I’m sure you’ll do a good job showing me around so don’t knock yourself down.” Sable wasn’t sure. But he smiled like he meant it and to some extent he did. He just wished the young man would be less…whatever this was. It wasn’t funny awkward or the awkward Sable was used to dealing with. “So by all means, when you’re ready, let’s go ahead and get going! I really do appreciate your kindness. Not many people would help a shady looking stranger like me, yeah?”

          More than anything else, the child had an air of intense nervousness surrounding him, that made him hardly approachable, on a normal basis. "Of course, yeah. I'm probably more shady than you are, though. Most people kind of avoid someone like me." Gee, why could that be? Still, he'd try to be nice on occasion. It wasn't the easiest, though. 

          Still, he'd start a slow pace to the north of where they were, "So right now, we're towards the south edge of the city, and there's a good lot of convenience stores around here, being that everything's sort of spaced a little farther around here? 'Cause it's the edge, y'know." He'd try explaining, optics glancing back at the man before focusing back on the buildings around them. 

Oh boy he made someone mad. Thats something he hated to do. “Would, but don’t know how…” He explains. Well it was an honest answer. He didn’t know how to hide it. Maybe flattening his ears enough to blend in with his hair and maybe shoving his tail in his pants??? He honestly was just cluelessly standing there trying to figure out how to hide everything.

          Taking a deep breath, he'd run a hand through dark locks. "Listen, just don't let anyone s-see you like that, yeah?" He'd try, calming down now. It was just a momentary frustration, hopefully. Glancing around, it was a lucky thing there weren't that many others around to see such a thing. That wouldn't mean anything good. "It doesn't bother me, but I c-can't say the same thing for o-others." 

"Hide?" He frowns a bit and looks to his tail and ears. "Been fine? Just get stared at." He mutters. He didn’t understand that this world didn’t exactly house people like him all the time. "Nid faas, no need to fear?" Jyrik no, dont start speaking in dragon tongue.

          This was why he didn't like to interact with people. What was this kid talking about, again? "Just hide the damn thing, before s-someone sees." It really didn't take much to annoy the boy, anymore, anyway. He used to have a lot more tolerance.
