26 year old actor, LAKEITH STANFIELD.

most of us only recognize the young star for his controversial role in 2017′s critically acclaimed, politically driven horror film, GET OUT & his supporting role as Darius in Donald Glover’s FX phenom, ATLANTA

however, Lakeith has been establishing himself as a bonafide screen talent long before his face popped up in the sunken place.

growing up in California within a family structure that was rather dysfunctional on both his mother’s and father’s sides, Lakeith made the conscious decision to use the arts as his escape. he began lending his natural talent to the stage of his high school’s drama club and later exercised his musicianship as a member of the band called, MOORS.

around the time that Lakeith hit the mainstream as an actor, he met his girlfriend, XOSHA. she is also an actress.

they have been together now for three years & birthed their first child into the world in 2017.

if you think back, Lakeith was the actor playing snoop dogg in 2015′s critically praised NWA biopic, STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON

and even before that, we saw him star as a politically charged black activist in Ava Duvernay’s masterpiece, SELMA

though his role in THE PURGE: ANARCHY wasn’t necessarily the lead, his performance mirrored that of the SHORT TERM 12 dramatic vehicle that lead him to being nominated for the 2013 Independent Spirit Award for drama.

last year, Lakeith starred in a film called, CROWN HEIGHTS – a role that gave us a real peak at his tiny, little brown cakes & very slim physique.

NEXT... Lakeith will star as an openly gay black man named Reggie in Netflix’s new dramatic project, COME SUNDAY

internationally-renowned pastor Carlton Pearson risks his church, family and future when he questions church doctrine and finds himself branded a heretic.

THE ALL STAR CAST includes screen legends, Danny Glover & Martin Sheen, oscar nominee, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Phylicia Rashad’s daughter – Condola Rashad.

the drama premiere’s on Friday, April 13, 2018

the film tells the true story of Colin Warner who was wrongfully convicted of murder, and how his best friend Carl King devoted his life to proving Colin’s innocence.
