And she can tell Coulson doesn’t exactly want to tell her what’s going on, but he doesn’t want to hide things from her either - treat her like she is not part of the team, or must be isolated for her own good. Like it might make her believe he thinks she’s too vulnerable right now, too weak, after Hive. She knows Coulson must be thinking something along those lines. He still looks exhausted at the idea of conveying the information.
