He was already breathless, the sudden pressure upon his abdomen only making a loud burst of air press past his lips. He didn’t seem to move much as her lips traveled up his neck, and to his own. He could taste the iron, and he brushed their noses together, her teeth pressing into his bottom lip. A small hum left his throat, and he opened his eyes to stare at her.

❝…Both…Definitely both.❞ He moved a hand up to mangle through her hair, twirling it between his fingers and coating it with his own blood. He was still in a daze, whether it be from blood loss or not. The feeling of someone so close was nice, but he was still so confused. If his body would only recuperate, maybe he’d be gone, maybe he’d tried to kill her. Even so, he just didn’t know what he was doing.

-x     The ghoul sighed, pleased, as his fingers touched her hair. She licked the blood beading on his lips, giving a final kiss before retreating from the bed. In a few short moments she returned to his side with a wet cloth. Wordlessly, she began to wipe the blood from his skin, carefully maneuvering around the many cuts distorting his flesh. She'd taken great care not to cut him too deeply, leaving only wounds that would heal within a few weeks. Examining his drowsy form, now clean, she took a second inventory of his wounds until she was satisfied, positive she'd left nothing vital.

"You're a glutton for punishment, love..." Hikari teased him, running her fingertips, now harmless, across the unmarked portions of his skin. On a serious note, she addressed him. "Anyway, you'll heal just fine," her hand moved to cup his cheek, "I always leave my playmates in good condition." Smiling, she added, "I hope you'll play with me again."

So mun forgot to mention… I went to Chicago, IL, to see my boyfriend graduate from bootcamp this last weekend. So I’ve been without internet for a while. I’ll also be going on a cruise the 18th-24th. >.>

«♏» Rory was actually not eating his meal when the other entered the room, and he didn’t look up from his plate to look at her either, he simply stared at his plate with a smile in his features as she spoke. "So you were sitting in the rain? I’m guessing that was what she wanted to tell me when she was having dinner" A tiny laugh escaped his system. "She’s great, isn’t she?" He picked at his food as he spoke. "I’m just glad i’m able to take care of her..Also, no need to thank us, we are happy to do so" Before the other was able to take her leave from the kitchen along with the chairs, he spoke of one more sentence. "You’re always welcome here from now on"

image

«♋» She was very careful with her footing when coming down the stairs, for it was easy for her to trip and fall down the stairs due to the big blanket she recovered from her room. She luckily made it down and took a right and into the living room, throwing it in front of the couch before actually stopping. She saw the female bringing in the two chairs that was needed to build this fort. "Alright! Good! Now we can get started!"

-x   Hikari's eyes widened as he spoke, pausing momentarily before continuing on to the next room, gesturing a silent nod to no one. Marin had come into the room, throwing a huge blanket down in front of her just as Hikari set the chairs down.

"Okay, now... how do you make a fort?" she asked the girl sheepishly, a lopsided grin on her face.

The sudden bump stirred Rekker from his thoughts. He turned his gaze down to the stranger. She was a fairly pretty girl, and one who seemingly had a temper. Something told him she wasn’t human, but that was hardly his concern right now.

He stared at her for a moment, thinking of how to respond. He could play  the tourist gig, being so helpless and confused in a foreign land. Perhaps he could pretend he didn’t understand her, just to infuriate her more. But she was likely expecting that.

"Heh, is that so?" He looked around at the people simply walking around him, as if he wasn’t even there. He was just another obstacle they could easily avoid. He bent over enough to look her in the eye.

"Because it seems to me that the only one bothered by it is you, shorty.”

-x   "Were you hoping to get a rise out of me with that comment...?" She nearly growled the words, clicking her tongue before leaning closer to the man, standing on tip toes. "Too bad," she whispered, a hint of aggression in her tone.

Returning her heels to the ground, she pushed past the stranger, purposely bumping into his shoulder with a little more than human force.

"Next time, watch where you're going," she spoke casually as she passed, as if the interaction hadn't happened.

Kai’s ears perked, fast approaching footsteps catching his attention. The boy looked over his shoulder, awaiting the arrival of none other than Hikari. He smiled, letting a chuckle slip between pale lips, “Late? I think that’s an understatement, Hikari,” he teased, turning around to face her.

Kai hopped off of his desk and approached the girl, “When are you ever on time?”

-x   "Hey, you were late, too..." she pouted. Hikari casually leaned over the desk between them in her usual, flirty demeanor. "We both got left behind, huh? Too bad." She made a show of pouting, looking up at Kai with large eyes.

Nothing ever ends poetically. It ends and we turn it into poetry. All that blood was never once beautiful. It was just red.

Her remark earned a faint chuckle ; something considered rare from a devil, especially when it was evoked by anything other than the torture of another. And though a prideful being, they found no shame in it — why should they? Perhaps inhabiting a human had somehow forged a few soft spots in Tomoko. Maybe. After all, they weren’t half as violent and bloodthirsty as they used to be. They’d calmed down tremendously since having come to know the boy whose body they nested in.

                Why was that?

The poke at their shoulder successfully snagged their attention. To decidedly heed her request, they paused, wordless, turning round to observe the process of removal. How convenient, to be able to manipulate your blood like that. If they didn’t know any better, they might have thought they were in some form of awe.

Death once more infiltrated their thoughts with the fresh aroma of spilt human blood that washed over him as thick as ocean waves. Pupils shrank to the points of needles, senses heightened to where even the most subtle of movements could be heard as though their sound had been amplified twenty fold.

It wasn’t until Hikari spoke up that they were dragged back to their more rational way of thinking — if it weren’t for her, they likely would have darted off to claim yet another victim ; but alas. Eyes glossed over briefly before returning to their natural state ; an indication of their recovery.

❝ Finished? That was rather quick, might I say. ❞

They spun on their heel to resume their path, vaguely smirking.

❝ That tongue of yours comes in handy, doesn’t it? ❞

-x    Clicking her tongue, she replied, "it was easy work."

Hands slid into her pockets, playing with the small, bone-like objects. She fell into pace with Tomoko easily, following wherever he was headed.

"My tongue, however..." she made a contemplative sound, clicking her tongue again, weighing its benefits and downfalls. "It comes in handy for things like this, yeah. Let's just say my bedroom partners aren't so appreciative."

Removing her hands from her pockets to place them behind her head, she chuckled, stretching the limbs as she looked up to the night sky.

«♋» She didn’t think she would agree to something so..childish it would seem to be called, but hearing that she would love to, a tiny smile seeped into her features. "Then get two chairs and place them by the couch far enough, okay!?" She demanded, having a hint of happiness and excitement within her voice. "I’ll go get the sheets!" She then turned around and sprinted down towards and up the steps. She hurriedly took her bed sheets into her inventory and soon raced back downstairs.

-x   Walking into the kitchen to retrieve chairs, Hikari stopped to speak to Rory. "I feel so odd, coming into your home as a stranger..." she spoke quietly, unsure of her words, "I was having a hard time, really, sitting in the rain alone... I wasn't myself." Hikari stood upright, her voice stronger now. "Thanks to your sister, I've snapped out of it. I'm really grateful to you two, even if it's just for improving my mood. Now, I have to take these chairs, or I'll get in trouble for not doing my part," she giggled, joking, as she wrapped her arms around two of the chairs. Giving a small smile, the ghoul turned to exit the room.

"Tch," he huffed, peeking into the classroom only to see that not a single person was inside. Of course they would have left without him, why would they wait? Heavy foot steps echoed off of the walls as he walked to his desk and sat on top of it. He folded his legs and settled his elbows on his knees, grey-blue eyes settling on the black board in front of him. "Field trip," he read out loud in a bored tone. "What a field trip it is…"

-x    Shit, I'm late! Hikari ran full speed into the school and up the stairsnot bothering to stop at her shoe lockerhoping to catch her class before they left. She was actually looking forward to the trip. Hikari skidded to a halt once she reached her classroom and noticed the door was already open, fumbling into it like an idiot.

"Sorry I'm late—!" Her voice halted. No one was there. Her shoulders sagged in defeat, a pout forming on her lips right as she noticed the boy sitting atop a desk to her left. Her face blushed red, embarrassed that he'd heard her. "A-ah... um, did you get left behind too, by chance?" She asked lamely, wearing a weird, squished expression. Well, fuck.

@haloofmischief:

Tokyo..
It was an interesting place to say the least. It was the first time Rekker had gotten around to visiting the place. He couldn’t say it was much different than the other cities he’d been to, with the noise and crowds and lights. Each city, however, had its own rhythm. Its own flow and beat. The humans who called it home knew it, too.
But, this city wasn’t all human, was it? No. Rekker could feel them. They were creatures that blended into the human race, instead of hiding away like they were supposed to. Sometimes they even living among them. Humans were often too blind to tell the kinds apart. They hadn’t noticed him, no matter how many had bumped into his wings as they went on with their daily rush. They put it up to their imaginations. (And the ones who did find out of the existence of the supernatural? Well…sucks for them.)
image
The angel was “in disguise”, as one could say. He looked like an average teenage boy in black jeans, scuffed up sneakers, and black hoodie zipped up around his torso. The hood was up as well, but not so much that he looked suspicious. His feathery wings were cloaked by a special magic that hid them from simple human eyes.
He paused, taking a break from his walk to glance up at the lights that illuminated the buildings just about everywhere. He was certain the other beings around here could feel he was not human, too. He hoped not to run into any demons, for they were quite attracted to the stench of a big city…
Image
-x   With an oof sound, Hikari smacked right into a wall of flesh, stumbling back and rubbing at her eyes with her palms. Some idiot was standing completely still in the traffic of people. She glared up at the figure, several inches taller than her.
"Hey, it'd be nice if you watch where you're stopping," she hissed, annoyed. "Are you a tourist? You can't just stop in the middle of the sidewalk here." Her voice was raised slightly louder than it needed to be, considering the chatter around them.

So, she had accepted the challenge, had she? Well, wasn’t that interesting. Most people knew better than to get in his way, and he could not help but feel his blood boil with excitement. ” Kamikorosu, ” he scoffed, lips quirking up into a predatory smirk before he lunged forward, tonfa pulled back and ready to make impact—mercilessly—with the female.

-x   With predatory speed, she charged—not towards the boy, but away from him—leaping upwards to land on the tallest structure of the roof. He was fast, she'd give him that, but she doubted he could match her inhuman speed. Hikari didn't wish to kill the boy, giving him a last warning out of mercy.

"If you try that again, I will kill you," she hissed, her kakugan branching forth from her eyes, bikaku extending from the base of her spine to wrap around her arm. "Murderous little shit," she scoffed, peering down, prepared for his next attacks. Hikari was disgusted by his violence, irrational even to a ghoul.
