"As long as I had hope, They could keep Their Real Place and play with unreal worlds. I couldn't even hope that I would give up hoping, because that was still hope. And when you came a second time, I hardly dared speak, I was so full of hope. I dared not let you know." diana wynne jones

Benjamin Sullivan, the honorable and somewhat mysterious court magician was married last Saturday to Lettie Hatter, formerly of Market Chipping. The other court magician was also there, presumably as a guest of the matron of honor, Sophie Pendragon nee Hatter, the bride's sister. They seemed wrapped up in some sort of disagreement for most of the ceremony though.
His jersey is gonna look pretty cool in color :)
-Sorry! That's just my basic understanding from an observer's perspective ^.^ if I got anything super wrong maybe someone else can correct me! I hope that helps!
It's all good! This definitely feels like a rule where it would be a little more clear if you played the game. I have not yet progressed to the part of watching where i pay attention to the lines on the ice. I have recently started becoming aware of the 'blue paint' around the goalie and this is progress for me
-the review happens after minutes of play, which is nuts imo. But the same can happen if the player's skates are fully over the line and then they touch the puck, or if one of their team is over the line and they receive the puck. I'm pretty sure if someone in the zone doesn't touch the puck even if they crossed the line, like if Karl is in the zone but never gets the puck even if he got there before the puck crossed the line then that's not offsides. Calls can happen in real time or review-
Thank you :) also every time i think yeah i know offsides now...a new call happens and i watch the replay and hear them talk and im like. Wait. What?
In one ear and out the other
Idk if anyone has answered yet, but offsides in hockey is basically when any player on the attacking team crosses the blue line into the defending side fully and before they touch the puck. This is based on whether both of their skates cross the blue line before they touch the puck. So, like, if Geno passes to Sid in the opposing team's defensive side, but Sid is fully over the blue line before he touches the puck he's offside and the play stops. The calls have gotten crazy with vid review, and-
Ahahahaha so i have watched multiple videos explaining this and listen intently every time its called, but my brain just doesnt want to compute. Call it the ted lasso effect. I have a vague awareness of why the rule exists - to stop teams camping out in zones and relying on end to end of the ice passing to move the puck. But i have no idea what the specific rules are or how to catch it ;_; thank you for trying to explain it!
