subtitle regulations really need to catch up to modern day productions on youtube

when you have big professional companies like bon appetit, or geek & sundry, or microjig, or americas test kitchen, and theyre producing content to put on youtube and other sites, they shouldnt be allowed to rely on auto captioning, or fans captioning it for them

closed captioning regulations had to be implemented for tv and film because otherwise, we just…. didnt get any

and now that they can get away with not doing it on the internet, theyve gone right back to not captioning anything because nobody is making them

those regulations really need to catch up

tl;dr im hard of hearing and im pissed that closed captioning isnt required on videos on the internet

I’m in a place of gratitude right now. I am accepting of who I am. I will continue to explore every inch of my soul and every part of my artistry. I want to learn more, teach more, and live in full. I’ve worked long and hard to be able to get to a place where I can choose to surround myself with what fulfills and inspires me.

There are many shades on every journey. Nothing is black or white. I’ve been through hell and back, and I’m grateful for every scar. I have experienced betrayals and heartbreaks in many forms. I have had disappointments in business partnerships as well as personal ones, and they all left me feeling neglected, lost, and vulnerable. Through it all, I have learned to laugh and cry and grow. I look at the woman I was in my 20s and I see a young lady growing into confidence but intent on pleasing everyone around her. I now feel so much more beautiful, so much sexier, so much more interesting. And so much more powerful.

the biggest plot twist in hxh is when at the end of the first arc youve thought the whole time that they were living in some kind of weird medieval world and then theyre wondering where killua lives and as a first time viewer youre like “oh they’ll have to go to some mysterious library to look this up” and then theyre like “lets google it!” and turns out theyve had the internet the whole time

And I know no one will save me. I’m just asking for a kiss. Give me one good movie kiss.

Having a sibling or three really like….gave you interpersonal skills and moral exercises from an early age that people who were only children had to learn later on, because nothing makes your brain work overtime than having a ride or die relationship with someone who you would suplex through the dining room table in a second if they touched your shit, but you’d also stand up and take the blame for some shit if you knew it wasn’t their fault or stepping in and swinging if they were being bullied by someone else

one minute i go from “i could disown you and never look back” to “you are literally the funniest person i know, we can survive anything together.”
