#피땀눈물ALLKILL second week of promotions
I like how bangtan just…grew steadily you know? they didnt have a bombastic hit debut from the beginning or from a known company, they didnt have a sudden publicity scandal or gimmick, they didnt have a super dooper hit song that blew the world apart, they just took their time and grew with their own pace and power. and that’s something I treasure so much, it’s something people cant take away.

okay so let’s just recap the obvious that hoseok is really shining this era (but let’s be honest, he shines every era):
- he did the intro for this album
- along with a FLAWLESS choreography video
- his solo song, MAMA, is unique and catchy. yet the lyrics are about his aspiring dream to be a dancer and his mom provided the support and encouragement for him to be who he is today
- he helped write and produce for most of the songs on the album
- he got the most parts in their title track ‘피 땀 눈물 (Blood Sweat & Tears)’
anyways stan jung hoseok
After listening and reading the lyrics to Jin’s solo song ‘awake’, i can’t help but talk about the song. As this is Seokjin’s first song, it’s the first time that we fans are able to see thing’s from Jin’s view, from his perspective. And boy oh boy is it painful. I’m not one to cry, i’m not emotional.. but his lyrics had me in tears.
From my interpretation, It seems like he’s talking about how he’s not good enough, how the ‘6 flowers held tightly’ in his hands are still blooming, flying through successes (the members) whereas he is ‘just walking’, that he ‘can never fly’ (never be as successful). He’s hurting, he’s frustrated but he talks about how all these ‘wounds’ are worth it, because at least then, the other members will not have to suffer. The repetition of ‘wide awake’ and ‘truth’ suggests that this is his reality. It’s become his lifestyle to feel underappreciated, to work hard and to receive little spotlight, that maybe it was never meant to be, (’i can never fly’) but it’s his ‘fate’ to sing.
At the very end of the song, the lyrics ‘Still, I want to stretch my hand out I want to run, Just a bit more’. It’s like he’s saying even though he may not be as supported, his members will help him run towards his successes.
Overall, i feel as if the song is about Jin’s struggles with his hard work seemingly going unnoticed, to put your all into something without receiving any kind of support. He talks about how, with the members, he won’t give up. No matter how draining it is to not be acknowledged, he’ll keep trying.
As an artist, i relate HUGELY with this song, and it really hurts my heart to hear about Jin’s struggles.
