"I’m a man of wonder. Trust me when I say that my imagination has no limits." He tilted his head, leaning forward on the counter. To say that Tony’s interest is piqued is an understatement.  "So why don’t you try me, Mr. Maybe Thirty Ish. How old are you really?” 

"I'm sure there are even some things that man cannot comprehend---" Eyes flick over to watch the man, his own nephew, trying to decipher who he was. It was a bit--- amusing, to say the very least.

"Let's just say--- I am not far off from your father."

[ Howard says nothing for a moment, slumping back in his seat and sighing. ]

…What’d you want to know?

[ And all Edward could do was cross his arms and watch. ]

" -- Tell me how you're alive and I shall tell you how I am as well."

"I don’t think you’re old enough to call me son.” Unless his eyes was going wrong, he was pretty sure the other man looked just as young as he was.  Alright, maybe a little younger. Denial can be a bliss.  "You’re what—thirty? Ish?" 

"The things you wouldn't believe, Mr. Stark." He left it at that--- a sense of mystery surrounding him as he spoke.

In truth--- he was much older than he looked. Blame the Vanir blood within him.

"Sure--- let's go with that."

"I’ve had twenty years to accept it! I went to your funeral, Edward. I have your dog tags— They told me there was nothing left. It’s going to take a little bit for me to get used to this.” [ Edward’s death took the last bit out of him. It was the final straw, and to know that it was a lie— ]

"I--- things happened that even I did not understand, Howard. Things I still barely even understand right now--- but I have accepted this new life, ok?"

[ Edward didn't even know how to tell him what happened, how half of him didn't even belong on Earth. ]

"Look- I’m still trying to decide if you’re a hallucination or not, so please forgive me if I’m having a hard time keeping up.”

"Hallucination, Howard? You can accept your own life--- even though you are more than old enough to be frail and decrepit at this moment, but you cannot accept that maybe I have survived?"

"Is that spot next to you open or are you holding it for someone?" Not that he wasn’t already inching close to take the seat.

"Go for it, son---" And now he couldn't help but smile because even though Tony didn't know him, oh--- he knew Tony very much.

"With what?"

"We could start with your friends---                or we can start with you ignoring me. 

                                 Your choice."
