I am so thrilled to announce that Flabbergasties is coming back to create posts and drawings that answer YOUR questions about life, the universe, and everything! As the world goes to hell in a hand basket, I have noticed that so much of the information we need to be active and informed citizens, friends, and HUMANS is way too dense and complicated to understand. From the U.S. Government to your girlfriend’s stomach ache, we all want to make a difference…we just don’t know how. 

I can’t claim to be even remotely qualified (in fact, hiring managers continue to find me Unqualified™), but I value that community that we’ve built together here, and I hope to give just ONE person an opportunity to understand more about the world around them through humor, art, and writing. So if you’re watching the news and can’t pay close enough attention, or you’re at the doctor and can’t discern their instructions, or you’re feeling a sudden onslaught of inexplicable gay…hit me up. We can try to navigate these crazy “social” studies together.

i always thought of a king sized bed as being a bit bigger than a queen, but now that i have one, i can tell you that a king sized bed is an absurdity. i can sprawl out, and my husband can sprawl out, and the cat can sprawl out, and none of us are touching. i reach out in the night, and find only pillows and plush walruses. i reach further and eventually find his elbow. he rolls over the comforters to try and find me. “i have crossed oceans of bed to be with you,” he says. there is a vast expanse of bed untouched, unmapped, unexplored. the cat is still trying to sleep on my face.
