Under the Peanut Swamp│Beau Plains

Today is international PMD day! Here are two mini 3x3 paintings I made inspired by my absolute favorite feature in PMD: Friend Areas! From the beautiful artwork to stellar music what is there not to like.

Gigantamax Toxtricity

Sword Pokédex entry: Its excessive electric energy is its weapon. This Pokémon can build up more electricity than any thundercloud.

Shield Pokédex Entry: Out of control after its own poison penetrated its brain, it tears across the land in a rampage, contaminating the earth with toxic sweat.

You may not be used to seeing Gigantamax Toxtrixity on two legs, but really wanted pixel them rocking out!! Thanks serebii.net for the Pokédex entries!

while i very much agree with the general discussion around the time crunches between pokemon games, i see far too many ppl saying "pokemon wasn't always like this!" or "this is a recent development" or the like. unfortunately, this rapid-fire release practice isn't new, and it's been going on for a while with pokemon game release dates.

looking as far back as the generation three games, emerald and frlg were released in the exact same year, even closer together than what we're presumably seeing between legends and scarvi.

platinum, hgss, and bw also all came out in quick succession, each one a year after the other.

same with bw2, xy, and oras. and this isn't even counting the numerous spin-offs that came between these games. generally just make sure to be aware that these practices are not new and we should always be aware of them even in the games we enjoy.
