Hi, I'm Sam. I'm a half-blood wizard, along with my brother Dean.

"Oh you know, the usual stuff." Sam started with, shifting in his seat slightly. He didn’t really want to reveal his history. "My Uncle Bobby has a large book collection that I’ve been working my way through for a while. Especially the wizarding ones for homework!" Sam added with a smile. "You?" He asked.

It wasn’t the answer to his question, but he understood well enough not to ask and spoke on instead, “What do I do during break? Well I mostly play video games and hang out with friends back home. Mom has a strict no magic rule, she loves doing things muggle way, which sucks when doing dishes or cleaning anything ever.”

"I grew up without magic, and I kind of prefer it at home." Sam responded. "It's kind of nice to do things for yourself. I mean, it's not that Uncle Bobby has a no magic rule, just sometimes easier to do it yourself. And I'm used to it really." Sam didn't mention that his father had a similar unspoken rule, and growing up in a mainly muggle environment, the rules against magic outside of Hogwarts prevented Sam from using much magic anyway.

"Fair enough" Sam replied, agreeing with Jack that the themes were similar. Life in the wizarding world was similar in most respects, other than the obvious, to the muggle world, so it made sense that music would be similar. "I think I’ll have to try some one day."

"You should, it’s pretty cool." He agreed, "So when your off on break, do you live in a muggle town too?" He decided to ask.

Sam nodded at Jack’s response. “Yeah same really. I haven’t had much of a chance to listen to other stuff, bit too preoccupied with other things really. I can’t imagine it’s much different to muggle stuff though?”

"Surprisingly no, it’s a lot the same." He grinned, "I mean, the lyrics are different, no one talks about cars or other muggle things in songs, but the themes and s tyle are pretty much the same."

Staking A Claim | Lucifer and Sammy

Sam raised an eyebrow at Lucifer’s lack of regret. Although he shouldn’t be surprised, Sam had to admit it wasn’t the worst thing that could have happened. “Yeah thanks” he said, moving towards the door of the bathroom. Sam peeked around the frame, hoping that the coast was clear so he could make a break for it. “So, thanks for covering me up. Don’t tell anyone.” He said, before leaving the bathroom quickly, not looking behind him to see if Lucifer was following. The common room was the biggest hurdle, but hopefully it was still early enough for no-one to be in there, especially his brother.

Strutting through the common room without a care in the world, Lucifer followed the other boy out and didn’t even bother looking around. “Mum’s the word,” Lucifer promised, miming zipping his lips with a cheeky grin. He wouldn’t say anything, but if someone was around it would be a bit late now. “Don’t be a stranger, Sammy. Come around any time you like.”

"Yeah, yeah" Sam replied, raising an eyebrow. He had no option but to trust Lucifer wasn't the type to, well, for lack of a better term, kiss and tell. It was easy for him to navigate through the common room, and luckily there wasn't anyone in there, so he reached the portrait hole with ease. "Just, don't write anything else on me, in the name of "revenge" or whatever." Sam said, over his shoulder as he climbed through the hole and into the corridor on the other side.

Staking A Claim | Lucifer and Sammy

"Sorry to disappoint" Sam shrugged, "Surely going for him personally rather than something based on the, admittedly impressive, rumour mill, would have been more satisfying?" He added, before thinking for a few seconds. "Now you’ve just gotten yourself woken early and your work covered." It was getting a bit later, surely someone would come in the dorm soon. "We best start moving anyway. It won’t be long before we’re caught in here" and wouldn’t that be something.

"And yet," Lucifer said thoughtfully, "I can’t find myself regretting it." Sam had a good point, the others would be awake soon. Girls would be coming into their bathroom, looking to get ready for the day. No doubt they’d take exception to Lucifer and Sam’s presence. Lucifer waved a hand, gesturing towards the door. "After you, kid." Sam would want to leave the dorm as soon as possible, least anyone see him. A large majority of Lucifer hoped there was someone in the common room to see him, and that the rumor mill would be started up regardless.

"I grew up around mullet rock" Sam started "you know, classic muggle rock where all of the singers have the crazy hair that seems more important than the music?" he added, gesticulating with his hand to make his point. "I don’t know, maybe soft rock. Anything really, I don’t really have a preference." Sam nodded, "you?"

"Bit of variety." He replied, "Some pop, rock, most all of it muggle. I was raised that way, so I’m still learning about wizard bands and music."

Sam nodded at Jack's response. "Yeah same really. I haven't had much of a chance to listen to other stuff, bit too preoccupied with other things really. I can't imagine it's much different to muggle stuff though?"

Staking A Claim | Lucifer and Sammy

Taking one last look at his now, thankfully, plain back, Sam wiggled his arms back into their respective sleeves and pulled the shirt down covering himself again. “What? No. Nothing like that!” Sam insisted, as he jumped down from the counter. “I’m just saying, there would have been other ways to annoy Dean without getting me involved.” He added, not wanting to add fuel to the fire. Dean would definitely find out if Sam told Lucifer any of his weak spots. “You know, normal things, that annoy normal people. Without involving people from other houses.” Sam said grasping at straws.

The Gryffindor pouted, just a bit, and pushed off from the sinks. “That’s no fun.” What would have been ideal is if Lucifer could arrange for Dean to walk in on him deflowering Sam - preferably in Dean’s bed. The thought made heat flare in Lucifer’s cool countenance, and he licked his lips with want. “Unfortunately the deed his done. And if you decide you want more help with covering it up in the future, I’m happy to help.”

Staking A Claim | Lucifer and Sammy

Sam snorted as the mental image of Lucifer in some muggle spy film that he and Dean used to watch as kids appeared in his head. It was a ridiculous image, although most of the films were ridiculous themselves. The conversation was easy between the two, and Sam didn’t want to think that much into it. After all, his brother must not like the other Gryffindor for some reason, and like Lucifer had said, the rumour mill was fast and furious in Hogwarts. Although, Sam thought to himself, he wasn’t sure which rumour he’d rather Dean got first; the one that Lucifer had marked Sam’s back or the one that they were hanging out a little bit. Well actually Sam did know, preferably neither of them. “Yeah I know what you mean, although I’m not sure it’d take long.” Sam agreed, before adding, “He’d have had yours before the day was out, if he did ever find out.” or at least Dean would try. If asked, Sam would always take his brothers side, but Lucifer was clever and sneaky, and it might not have ended well, but Sam didn’t want to dwell. “There are other ways of annoying my brother you know” he let out, before clamping his lips together and looking away.

Lucifer’s eyebrows rose in interest, as did the corners of his lips. “Oh really? Do tell, Sam.” He leaned forward as much as his position would allow, his whole body aimed straight at the younger boy. Sam drew him like a magnet, and Lucifer was aware he wasn’t even being that subtle about it anymore. “You know I would keep your secrets, right? I wouldn’t lie to you, I wouldn’t betray you. I’m not that kind of guy.” Odds are Sam wouldn’t trust him right away, but even if he asked his brother Dean would have to agree that Lucifer didn’t lie. Ever. Anyone in the school could corroborate that, even the ones who hated him. “If there’s some beef you have with big brother, I can help you with that.”

Sam took the headphones from Jack, and plugged them into the jack of his own player. He focused on that, before carefully putting a bud into each ear, taking the time to look at the little “L” and “R” on each one, and pressing play. Music began streaming into his ears, and Sam grinned. “Thanks for that” he said, bobbing his head slightly.

"Gotta spread that music." He grinned, leaning back in his seat, "What kind of music do you listen to?"

Staking A Claim | Lucifer and Sammy

Sam fought the urge to roll his eyes. “Yeah, I’d like the whole of Gryffindor and Ravenclaw tower to find out about this.” he said sarcastically. Although it wasn’t as thought the words were true, it was just mildly embarrassing. “I’m not sure how you thought this would be revenge on Dean though. I’d have to tell him about it for that to happen.” Sam said thoughtfully, although that would require Sam snitching, and he could fight his own battles. Thinking to how he was going to cover it, “And you sneaking into Ravenclaw tower isn’t any less suspicious than the other way around.”

"I’m very good at sneaking," Lucifer assured him. His tone was still playful, but it was getting more flirtatious by the second. There was just something about Sam that Lucifer couldn’t help but be drawn to. The natural compatibility of their souls was one thing, but the attraction Lucifer felt for the younger boy was almost unlike himself. The Gryffindor leaned against the row of sinks and spread his arms back to brace himself comfortably against them. "You wouldn’t have to tell him. Someone would have seen it. And then they would have told someone, who would tell someone, and eventually the word would have traveled all the way up Gryffindor tower and Dean would know I’d marked his little brother as mine." Just like he marked my little brother as his went unsaid. It was childish, sure, but it would annoy the hell out of Dean. And it was the only marking Lucifer could get away with at the moment. The older boy licked his lips at the thought of what he hoped to get away with with Sam one day. “He’d have gone nuts.”

Staking A Claim | Lucifer and Sammy

Sam moved away from Lucifer as the Gryffindor moved away from him, the closeness gone almost in an instant. He tried craning his head around to see if Lucifer had covered it well enough before turning bodily around and using the mirror to check. Seeing that the words were covered, Sam grinned widely. “Thanks for that.” he said, jumping onto the counter backwards; by the time Lucifer had finished washing his hands and drying them, Sam could have put his shirt back on. “Not sure what I’m going to do on other days. I can’t keep coming here to get you to cover it.” Not only did he not want to be caught, but in Sam’s mind Lucifer’s punishment for writing on him in the first place was to have it covered straight off.

"Can’t say I’d mind," Lucifer said jokingly as he ran warm water over his hands. It turned a slight tan color as the make up was washed away. It was a shame to have his lovely penmanship covered up, but the process had certainly been rewarding. "I can come to you if you’d prefer. Be your handsome little wake up call." The blonde winked at Sam as he pulled back and shook water off of his hands. "It’s up to you really. But I’m assuming you want as few people to know about this as possible until it wears off."

We're going on a tablet hunt | Sam & Dean

Dean raised his palms and his brows shot up automatically, accompanying the gesture. “Look, Sam, I’m pretty sure if Bobby knew what was going on here, he wouldn’t’ve gotten us involved; which means that these things’re over his head. And something that’s over Bobby’s head isn’t something I want you involved with, that’s all. Besides,” the Gryffindor looked away and pinched the bridge of his nose before he sighed and lightly shook his head, inclining it from Sam’s direct view.

"If there’s one of us that should be summoning this mark—or whatever—it should be me. I’m the grunt here. You’re the one who’s going off, doing whatever it is that you wanna do…having a life. A real one. The one I always wanted you to have but was too scared to admit it." Dean’s voice had sunk to a mere whisper by the end of his confession. Sure he wanted to keep Sam close to him but he never wanted to hold him back. Dean just wanted a family unit who needed him as much as he needed them.

Pepping up, Dean stood straighter and pinned a smile to his lips. “So no more arguing with me, bitch. If this gets hairy, I want you out. No questions.” The sound of footsteps echoed distantly and Dean’s head whipped around. With a quick Nox the light at the end of Dean’s wand was extinguished and he grabbed a couple of the books from the table, turning towards his brother. “You can protest all you want when we’re outta here but, right now, no but’s.”

"Dean, we're in this together, we always have been." Sam said quietly, being put in his place after his brother's confession. He didn't agree with most of what Dean said; Dean could do anything Sam could do, and do it probably better than Sam ever could. "You can do that too, but right now, we have these tablet things that we need to deal with. Either by ourselves or if it can wait, with Bobby.

He couldn't agree with his brother's demands. Sam wanted in, he knew too much now, and if he was out, there would be nothing stopping him from following if needed. The footsteps stopped Sam from replying though, as he too extinguished his wand, and grabbed a few books, making sure one of them had the book they had been reading.

"Right, fine." Sam said, wanting to get out of the library without being caught, not meaning that he was agreeing with Dean. "I'll go this way" he whispered in Dean's direction, before heading off behind the stacks, towards the door to the library. If he could stay in the dark, he'd be able to make it back to the Gryffindor common room easily, from there, the rest was easy.

Staking A Claim | Lucifer and Sammy

"Sorry," he laughed. The meat of his thumbs dug lightly into Sam’s muscles before continuing to spread the paste. it was pretty even now, and Lucifer didn’t really have a legitimate reason to keep touching Sam. He did anyway. The Gryffindor’s hands were warming with prolonged contact with the other’s skin, and it felt nice. Sam was warm, and Lucifer had to resist the urge to press the whole of himself against the younger boy’s back. Finally he drew away and moved to the sink. "That should do it, just let it dry out for a few minutes." He didn’t want to talk about Dean right this moment.

"Alright then" nodded Sam, almost gearing himself up. It was just a peck, it didn’t mean anything he told himself, as he stood up, and moved towards Jack. He leaned down, and pecked the other Ravenclaw on the cheek, before moving back and sitting back down opposite him looking at his mp3 in wonder.

He smiled widely at the kiss, “Aw, well thanks Sam.” He replied, turning off his music and unplugging his earbuds before passing tthem over, “Here, give it a listen.”

Sam took the headphones from Jack, and plugged them into the jack of his own player. Staking A Claim | Lucifer and Sammy

Lucifer had broken into a candy store, and now the owner was giving him the key. In this case the candy store was Sam’s (surprisingly for a kid his age) well developed back muscles, and Lucifer licked his lips and gleefully began his task. “Let’s get you fixed up then,” he said cheerily as he opened up the makeup pot and dipped his fingers in for some of the cream. The color of it immediately started changing to match his own skin tone, so Lucifer moved quickly to spread it across the dark words on Sam’s lower back. His hands were gentle (if probably a bit cold) and Lucifer was milking this opportunity to get every caress and stroke in there as he could. “You know, me covering it up sort of defeats the purpose of me doing it in the first place. However will I exact vengeance on your brother now?”

The first touch of Lucifer's hands to Sam's bare skin made him shiver; Sam blamed the fact that they were cold and jumped forward slightly away from them refusing to think of any other possibility. "You've got cold hands" he said, obviously, before settling himself back down enough to let the Gryffindor continue. If he sat for a few minutes more, the words would be covered enough for him to get on with his day. "I don't know." Sam answered. "I'm not even sure it's my problem" he said, closing his eyes slightly at the feel of hands rubbing his back. This was almost a bad idea, back rubs were one of Sam's weaknesses, but the words needed covering; and to keep them a secret, get the person who did them to fix it. "In case you hadn't noticed, we're not exactly attached at the hip."

Out after hours | Sam & Gabriel

Gabriel had a point, Sam had never been caught before. He didn’t know if he was just lucky or what, but his record was pretty perfect. “No worries, thanks for not snitching” he replied, smiling at his fellow Ravenclaw. “Although, if I could give you some advice? Sometimes the common room is the quietest place of all.” Sam wasn’t one for getting others in trouble unless necessary, and he knew the common room was often quiet, spending most of his early mornings there when he couldn’t sleep any longer.

"Quiet, but populated." He pointed out, "They might be reading, or doing homework, and just… if I don’t want someone around me, I don’t want someone around me." He explained, "That aside, the commonroom can be a bit sufficating."

Sam nodded, "although not as bad as the Gryffindor common room. That place has the fires on almost 24/7 it seems like it. It's more suffocating than ours." He'd been in there on a particularly warm day the previous year to see Dean about something or other, and it was almost unbelievable to see the fires blazing.

Sam smiled softly in response to Gabriel. He wasn’t so bad once you’d got past the whole trickster nature of him. “No problem”. They’d been out for a while. “Want to head back to the tower?” Sam asked, knowing that their luck couldn’t last forever and the longer they stayed, the more chance they had at being caught.

He nodded his head, “Suppose we should, wouldn’t want a blemish on your record.” He grinned playfully as he turned their direction back towards the Ravenclaw tower  before speaking again, “Hey uh… thanks for walking with me.”
