Worry rolled from his shoulders, he visibly relaxed and leaned into the embrace, humming quietly as he buried his nose into his hair. A small break wouldn’t hurt and if it meant he could spend some time in Doranbolt’s company then… well, he certainly wasn’t opposed to that.
The fingers of his free hand laced with the ones on his waist and a moment passed before he brought his hand to his lips, kissing the back of it.
“ You could have just said so. I would have come willingly. ”
He spun around, wrapping his arms around his middle instead, placing a quick kiss to the tip of his nose before he moved to his lips. He didn’t linger there long, breaking the soft kiss quickly o kiss his forehead right after.
“ What can I do to help? ”
A content smile frozen on his features, Doranbolt allowed his eyes to close for a moment or two. It could nearly be described as bliss to be granted such a quick and easy way to shrug off all tension the day put on him, but he knew that as soon as they parted ways once more, he would fall victim to the same issues again.
The kiss to his hand had him give a light, airy chuckle, fingers running over Lahar’s briefly. When he turned, his hand found the other’s hips, resting there throughout all the kisses he was granted. The one to his lips had him leaning closer, as if he was reluctant to pull back.
“You know that well enough.”
A hand wandered upward to cup his face, tilting his head a little to hold it to the scarred mage’s preference. A moment passed during the which he simply cherished the moment, felt warmer and more at ease, before he let their lips meet again in a soft and light, but no less adoring and loving kiss.
Little worried the Councillor, but the amount of work he took on, voluntarily or not, seemed to be striving to grow limitless. Extra shifts were piling up, accepted to somehow keep his mind occupied. The worried thoughts about the happenstances in Fiore and that blasted guild left him little peace these day.
The fingers in his hair had him giving a low hum of content, the corners of his mouth pulling upwards into a grin of joy. Lahar had a way of making him feel at ease without much effort, and that was just why he adored him so much.
“Hey.”
A light kiss was placed on his partner’s neck, nose soon nuzzling the skin there.
“I needed a break, that’s all.”

There was nothing SUBTLE about the gesture, no matter how much Doranbolt wished it to be. In fact, it took every ounce of self restraint for Lahar to keep walking and not stop after the initial shock. And as much energy to not burst into a laughing fit once the reality of it set in.
There was just something inherently childish in the action that it made it endearing. Perhaps it was the illusion of subtlety that painted it to Lahar as something playful rather than sexual.
( he’ll still have to point it out to Doranbolt that they are working )
He bit his lip as he continued walking, stiffing the laughter and hoping that the subordinates walking next to him were smart enough to keep their mouth shut.

“Celebrate… I suppose. I haven’t really ever had time for celebrations my whole life. But this time… I just feel like because of the disbandment of the guild, there are a lot less cheers.”
Jellal looked away from Doranbolt at the end of his sentence and let out a sigh. Perhaps the newest members of Crime Scorciere would help him understand what having a family and celebrating is like.
“The new Magical Council lets me relax a little more, though.”
It still bothered him. A sudden revelation given to him against his own will, his magic turned into a double-edged sword. He tended to consider it one of the most dangerous abilities, the supposed altering of his own memories only confirming the such. At this point, Doranbolt was not even certain whether his thoughts were his own.
“I guess. I still don’t know what to do with all of this. Being a member of Fairy Tail seems odd, but I’m not entirely opposed to it. Now that the guild’s disbanded, though, I suppose it doesn’t matter.”
Losing one thing after another was becoming a trend, it seemed. He rose an eyebrow at the other, then gave a soft nod. The newly established Council was messy, but it seemed to be as stable as it needed to be.
“They’re not as strict as they used to be. Try not to push that liberty you gained, though.”
