I walked up to her,
And we spoke for a while,
She said her name was Hayli,
She had failed ninth grade,
And her stepfather wanted to go home,
So she had to leave,
But first she gave me her number and said 'text me please',
So I did,
I texted her once as we left,
And once the next day,
It's about to be the fourth day,
And she has yet to reply,
I don't care why,
I just hope some of the sadness in her soul has gone away,

Everyone always says to respect your parents.
I don't think that should be an automatic, no matter what, thing for a child to do.
I think parents should earn their child's respect. They don't automatically get respect just because they had sex and it happened to result in a child. They earn respect by treating their child with respect. The child is under no obligation to respect their parents, if they are not treated lovingly and with respect.

Sometimes, people are gonna be douchebags.
They're going to stop speaking to you for no reason, or for reasons you can't control.
You're going to find other friends - friends who won't leave you over things like that.
