i think having worked a retail or food service job actually is more important to not being a loser than doing drugs or having sex. the poll that showed so much of this site has never worked one of those jobs was actually way more concerning to me than any of the celibacy sweep polls

Love being fun and silly with strangers… Today at the farmers market the hummus guy saw my bag and was like “We’re filling that up right??” and I was like Twist my arm!! and we both hooted. Then at the end he was like “By the way the baklava is only half sliced so make sure to slice before serving… that is, if you’re going to share!!” and I was like “Oh I wouldn’t count on that!! 😉😉” and we shared another hearty laugh. I love playing in this space with you

I need my children to be so loved and fulfilled that being in anything other than a super healthy and respectful relationship is physically impossible for them

Nothing gives the same kind of random ego boost like managing to finally clean up your home and making it nice. Like ooh look at me, I'm living like people do, I made myself iced tea and I am eating my snack from a real plate. I got floors and shit.

Id like to propose we invent a paper document u can have where it states that youve had a prescription for so many years, that u can just have it. Walk into any pharmacy. 200 miles from home. Nobody has ever heard of you. Show paper. Get prescription. For free. A prescription diploma. You put in so many years on this prescription, you graduate from having to ask for it. Life could be so perfect.

something i have noticed lately: as a collective, a lot of gen z are simply getting tired of their phone

granted this doesn’t mean the endless doom scrolling has stopped. but i see a lot more self recognition of how phones have taken away from our ability to live our lives authentically and with variation instead of Hours of Repetitive Scroll. the dopamine may be easier but it doesn’t hit the same

this is good btw. it’s really important that we begin making the distinction between real and virtual life again
