As of today, I will no longer be updating or posting to this blog. Very soon, I will be rebooting this blog on a separate account.

Thing is, I’ve decided this nearly a month ago. There are many reasons why I want to reboot my blog. First off, I think it’s time - the blog changed a lot through the years, either as a result of my own interest shifts, different ideas for story progression, or changes in character design/behavior. This constant change of pace and tone has significantly affected my interest for this blog.

But one of the biggest reasons I want to reboot is that I have grown since the start of this blog, and I want to run it differently now. With all the changes, I feel that a reboot is what I need.

This blog will still stay here. While I’m setting up for the reboot, please go check out my mod blog, @bluehotairballoon. If you’d like to message me, please go there

I’ll see you all very soon!

Excellent question!

When I first created this blog, I created it under the assumption that the universe it is in is the canon universe. When the blog started rolling, the universe starting moving toward a ponified Earth. Afterwards, the universe just sort of floated in between these two.

Right now, the universe is a sort of Equestria, but in the future, where different technologies have been developed, and ponies have started walking on two legs instead of four.

I'm sorry for such a late response. I must admit that I've forgotten about this question. I also would be lying if I didn't say I had to think about this question a little bit myself!

In about one hour, I'm going to be leaving for college.

For this blog, this means a hiatus - maybe as long as a month, maybe as short as a few days - as I get adjusted to my new schedule. Many of you may have noticed I've been cranking out those cyoa posts as fast as I could. I wanted something memorable to look back at once I'm in college, so I wanted to finish the story.

As for the future of the blog, there may be some changes. May be big, may be small. I'm not sure yet.

It's been a pleasure working on the cyoa story with all of you. I'll be seeing you guys soon!

The sky was a delicate shade of rose as the sun sets and the moon begins to rise. John and Bonnie sat on the sandy ground, watching the beautiful event. Bonnie looks over to John. His eyebrows were furrowed as he stared at the ground.

"What's the matter, John?" Bonnie asked him.

"Well, I guess we missed the convention," John replied.

Bonnie smiles. "They've extended the convention to three days now, remember?"

"Really?" John said excitedly as his eyes lit up. "That's awesome!"

Bonnie chuckles. "Yep, it sure is."

The End.

John grabs Bonnie by her arm and tries to drag her out the door. The flame, heat, and sound inside the Shoppe was becoming unbearable. John's vision begins to blur as he crawls out the store. Every shaky move he took hurt him physically and mentally.

At last, John heaves himself out the front door, the unconscious Bonnie right behind him.

"Hey, John," said a voice. John looks up. "Remember me?" It was Colonel Oak.

"We got here as soon as we could when we got the call," says Colonel Oak. John looks over at Bonnie. She must've called them while they were confronting the state investigator. John then looks over to the SWAT team rushing past him. Heavily armed police officers donning gas masks and clad in armor head into the Shoppe, arresting the deputies inside. One of them puts out the fire on the shopkeeper's head.

The sound of gunfire stops, replaced by the faint whirring of sirens. The heat recedes as flames from the store are put out. John pulls himself up on the pavement.

What a day.

Suddenly, the glass shatters as a barrage of bullets scatters in every direction, smashing and breaking tables and chairs, then finally burying itself deep within the walls. The deputies frantically duck for cover from the onslaught of lead.

As quickly as it began, the gunfire stops. "HEY, BALLERINA!" it was Gadsden. "Get out of there while you can! I'll cover ya!"

The sound of a bolt clicking backwards indicates that Gadsden has loaded a fresh magazine and is about to resume fire. John crawls slowly to the entrance as Gadsden unleashes more suppressive fire into the store.

The ringing is John's ear is so loud that it blocks virtually all other sounds. His head was swimming. He tries to look around. Bonnie and the investigator are both knocked out by the blast. The cashier was on fire.

Three deputies walked out from behind the desk. "What a mess," said the orange one.

"What do we do with em'?" asked the beige one.

"Get rid of them," replied the orange one.

This is it. It's over.

"Not so fast," says Bonnie, emerging from the corner. "Guess my gut was right, there is something fishy with this guy..."

John puts his hoofs down, relieved.

"I've contacted some ponies that could actually help us out. They're gonna be here shortly, so-" she jams her pistol in the state investigator's neck. "Why don't you take a seat, sir?"

Suddenly, a loud explosion from the kitchen rocks the entire restaurant.

John enters the Banana Shoppe alone. He stood there, waiting for a while. Suddenly, the sound of a gun clicking startles him. He turns around. It was the state investigator.

"Boy, didn't your mama ever tell'ye not to stick your snout where it don't belong?" The investigator said gruffly. "You should've just left this well alone."

It didn't make sense. How was the state investigator corrupt too? It must... it must be - the $10,000. $10,000 was given to the state investigator to keep quiet. Jimmy didn't know about this, so when he went to the investigator for help...

"I can see them gears turnin' in yer head," the investigator said with a chuckle. "That's right, I'm the one who killed Jimmy yesserday. And you're next."

John bolts out the trailer as soon as the two corrupt cops leave. He finds Bonnie and fills her in on what he found.

"By Celestia, this is worse than I thought," says Bonnie.

John and Bonnie run back to town while Bonnie contacts the state investigator. John opens another bag of chips and frantically starts eating.

"I can't believe it! You could STILL eat even after all this!" Bonnies exclaims.

John responds, making his voice hoarse (ha ha ha) on purpose.

"You alright, Bill? Sound kind of sick." Says the blue pony. "How'd you get here so soon?"

John grumbled an answer.

"Okay, makes sense. "Anyway, you got the security footage, right? From the grocery store?"

John grumbles another answer.

"Good. That's good. Well, me and Parker are gonna head back to the station. Gotta sort this stuff out, y'know?" With that, the two turn around to leave. "I'll meet you at the station later, alright?"

John grumbles a farewell.

John approaches the area of the wall the scope was pointed at. He knocked on the wall and hears a hollow echo. John peeled the wall away, removing chunks of plaster away until he sees the corner of a manila folder sticking out from the debris. He picks away more of the wall until he could free the folder out. He opens it.

Inside were documents, records of logged in evidence spanning months in time. Upon closer inspection, John realizes the documents all pertain to drug seizures. The other half of the documents are signed destroy orders for said drugs. A list of police identification numbers for drug bundles were below. One final document was a printed copy of the police department's pay system. Three officers seemingly received unusually high bonuses.

There was also a newspaper clipping. It was a large image of a police drug bust from a different city far away. There was something circled in red on the image. It was a drug packet; the numbers on the packet matched the police identification numbers on the destruction orders.

Lastly, there was a note. It was hoof-written and barely legible:

"Dear reader,

If you are reading this, I am most likely dead. For the past month, I've been investigating the police department's activities within the drug squad. I believe they are trafficking drugs for the gangsters. They pretend to seize the drugs and destroy them. They even document it! But in reality, they hand it off to the gangsters. Then they distribute the money among themselves; they got a guy in payroll to do that. Judging by the amount of drugs seized, I'd say they'd distributed the money evenly. There is, however, about $10,000 dollars that I can't account for.

I'm going to see the state investigator tonight. If I don't make it back, get this evidence to the state investigator's office immediately!

Signed, Jimmy."

John checks the chamber of the rifle to see if it's loaded. It's Empty. Carefully, John removes the note sticking out the barrel. Something was written on it:

"Hello, John. I'd like to play a game-"

Haha, Just kidding. Here's what it really said:

"I PUT THEM IN THE WALLS!" Under it was a drawn image of a set of scope crosshairs.
