  • 1 1/2 cup Leftovers??? ("I have here some chicken that was poached in white wine and I also have some spinach that's just perfectly flavored and ready to go. ... I also have some mushrooms I was having sauteed mushrooms. So I made a little extra. And I have cheeses and various other things")
  • 1 1/2 White sauce

Watching pannenkoek2012's newest Mario 64 video has me thinking about low-res shapes.

Here's a really nasty spinning cube in exactly 280 chars. Using tables here is so gross. Somebody smarter than me please do this better.

rpg setting with multiple competing units of damage/resilience used in different regions. you gotta worry about the conversion between hp celsius and hp fahrenheit

"1 hp is the amount of damage dealt by a one gram sphere of pure iron traveling at one meter per second against a 1x1x1 meter cube of graphite at standard temperature and pressure" versus "it's so intuitive, 100 hp of damage hurts a lot and 0 hp of damage doesn't hurt at all so you can just think of it as 'percent pain'"

In the US, HP is measured in Fb (Fairbairns); in 1717, Lord Daniel Markwither-Potts, Duke of Fairbairn, used a pendulum to hit himself with various objects and ranked them. Thus, something deals 34 damage if it deals the same damage as the 34th least damaging object on his list (a sharpened ox hoof). The dukedom of Fairbairn itself, along with the rest of Great Britain, stopped using Fbs about 50 years after their introduction.

The moment man devoured the fruit of knowledge, he sealed his fate...

Entrusting his future to the cards, man clings to a dim hope. Yes, the arcana is the means by which all is revealed.

Celebrate life grandeur, it's brilliance, it's magnificence.

"AI should be stocking shelves and doing laundry. Not creating Art."

  1. Why do shelf stockers and cleaners deserve their jobs less than artists do?
  2. All the stuff you need to learn about and contribute to AI is freely online. If you want it, you write it.

probably shitty worldbuilding idea: fantasy world that keeps going

they keep sending out expeditions to try and map the whole world and figure out if it's round or flat or what but it just keeps going and they keep meeting new people who've met other people coming the other direction and everybody so far has found that it just keeps going

Entire cultures of people who are determined to find the end, carrying the history of everywhere they've gone and all they do, their whole lives for generations is just heading west.
