Yes I’m still alive, and I’m in the process of actually. starting. a. new. theme!
Shocked, yeah?
Well thanks to everyone who has stuck around and still followed despite my lack of updates. I’ll work hard on a new theme, and it may take a bit since tumblr has made plenty of changes since I last made one, but I’ll be doing my best.
If any of my old themes aren’t functioning right, just let me know.
I finally got a new monitor (happy birthday to me, yay) so once I get my computer up to date with the several months it's been out of service, I should be back and getting back into the grind of things. It may be a bit before I actually release a new theme, since there are for sure new codes and tricks and all to learn but I at least have my tools to make themes back so I will be updating again and hopefully releasing something before the end of the month, even if it's just simple.
I am still on hiatus (still with a lack of new monitor) but I wanted to make a quick post now that tumblr has messed everything up.
1. If things aren't changed back, I may actually end up qutting for good because my coding skills were lacking in the first place and to learn to adjust to the new dimensions and all might be difficult (but I don't know yet, I'll have to see how the changes really affect everything)
2. If my current themes that are up get messed up/stop working properly, there is nothing I can do. You can message me questions (HERE) but there is not much I can do when it's tumblr who made the changes that may break my themes.

Hey again guys! I'm still on my hiatus and all, but I wanted to pop in to leave another message. I may come back again soon, but right now I'm without a proper computer to make themes on (my PC's monitor died on me and right now I'm on my super old laptop which has none of my theme stuff on it). I've still got little desire to make themes anyway, but after reading an encouraging comment someone left on my hiatus post, it makes me want to try again at least. So whenever I can get a new monitor, I will try and come back with a new theme.
I'm doing this for several reasons, the main one being that I no longer have any drive or interest in releasing themes. The other one being that despite how many endless hours I put in, I can't ever seem to get up-to-par and be good enough as other theme makers are. I'm always far, far behind in level of skill, I can never figure out how to get my ideas to work...it's just too frustrating.
There are TONS of theme makers out there and themes out there. And I see time and time again those themes getting thousands of notes while mine go unnoticed. And it's not like I'm unaware that my themes are garbage, I know they are. I know they're lacking in so many ways and that's why people don't use them very often. It's why my theme giveaway failed. I am not a good theme maker, like it or not. I will never be up there with the pros.
So this is where I quit, I guess. My themes will stay up for use, but I am closing my ask box. If you MUST ask me a question, send it to my regular tumblr here. Just do not send it on anon, as any theme questions will be replied to privately.

I’m not sure as to why the reblog link doesn't work, since it used to work just fine (I've used the theme myself in the past) - it’s very possible tumblr changed some kind of coding again and I was unaware of it. I’ll have to look into it and see what’s up because it’s weird that it wouldn't work.
Is it on your blog that it doesn't work, or is it in the preview the reblog link doesn't work? It'll work when you use the theme, but the reblog link on the preview itself won't work because the previews are a separate page as opposed to it's own blog.
Sorry for the lack of updates guys. I've just been totally uninspired to make a new theme. I've had really no ideas and I've been in a slump. I have some time off next week so I'll try to get something new out then but we'll have to see.
Excuse me, I'm using "You're my Destiny" theme and the reblog does not work. Also, is there a way to have the tags show up, but not underneath the post? Instead inside the post, so it's not on my background?
It seems that you changed your theme anyway so I suppose you do not need my help any longer?

This blog - customizemytumblr - is redistributing themes that don’t belong to them, as well as sticking their own credit in the codes for “providing/hosting” them and charging $10 if you need help installing it. Please find the originals instead.
Navigation Base
I noticed that there was a severe lack of navigation page bases, so I made one. It’s really simple, as far as coding goes.
As I’m assuming that those that would use this know some coding, there aren’t as many instructions as there are in my other themes. If you aren’t sure of something though, feel free to hit my ask.
There are no special transitions or anything like that, the only “cool” thing being custom fonts. Which you can find a tutorial on here if you don’t know how to add your own.

I know when I first started coding I really wanted to make updates tabs but never had the resource to start. So I whipped up an easy base code for everyone! It’s got extra lines of comments inside of it along with tips and such.
Of course this is a BASE CODE which means its the bare minimum. You can learn more about transitions here to stylize it and make something creative!

hi, i was wondering if theres a script that randomizes the text in your sidebar whenever you refresh the page? ive seen other blogs have this, but i cant find the script anywhere, and i was wondering if you can help. thanks!

I may not release a new theme for a long time, simply because I feel like I've been putting out too many too fast. I will still be here to answer questions and reblog useful thing sometimes, but I want to slow down and work on getting even better. I feel like my themes are junky-looking compared to other, better, theme makers, so I want to take some time and come back improved. I hope you guys understand and thanks for supporting me so far!
