Remember Kendrick Johnson. His body was found rolled up in a wrestling mat at his high school in 2013. The authorities initially ruled his death as an accident only 24 hours after his body was found. The first autopsy stated that he died from “positional asphyxia”. However, his parents weren’t convinced and they hired a private pathologist. The second autopsy showed that Kendrick suffered from a hemorrhage on the right side of his neck, which most likely resulted from a blunt force trauma (meaning that he was striked by a physical object). The pathologist concluded that his death was not an accident. A third autopsy confirmed it as well. He was only 17 years old. I feel like black people should be allowed to point out that some white people are being opportunistic as fuck about the protests and riots.

The concept of an “outside agitator” is harmful, I completely agree with that sentiment. But the fact remains that I’m seeing way too many middle/upper class white folks traveling to these cities with civil unrest just for the intent to live out their anarchist, post-apocalyptic fantasies.

You can tell they don’t care about protecting black or brown bodies, they just want to live out a fantasy in their head where they feel like a rebel badass.

It’s such a small minority, but I am noticing the pattern.

It’s sad but true, the protests should be about peacefully putting an end to discrimination. Not taking some time to rob a target, further hindering the intended message of said protests.

Listen. I just want to make it clear for anyone who comes to my blog and anyone who sees this post that I am pro-looting and rioting. Anything stolen or broken during civil unrest can easily be replaced. Black lives cannot, however, be replaced. What I’m not here for is white “allies” specifically coming to protests and seeking out riots just to live out a post-apocalyptic fantasy where their actions have no meaning or purpose outside of selfishly acting on their impulse to destroy random shit without consequence.

There are a lot of white folks coming to protests, claiming they’re BLM or something but absolutely refuse to listen to the activists or protesters around them even when their actions could be potentially putting them at risk of serious police harm.

Today, Breonna's law was passed. This is a step in the right direction. Next one is to hold people responsible for her death and arrest her murderers and everyone involved in the attempt at cover-up.

I had legitimate tears in my eyes reading what Kenneth, her boyfriend, had to to through after Breonna's murder. That man was being framed for something he didn't do, all after losing his most important person.

It was that easy to jail and charge him on false claims. Why are her murderers still walking free and an innocent man spent time in jail because of a false testimony?

That's time in his life he will never get back, but you know what he'll also never get back and that's also directly on the police? Breonna. And most importantly, Breonna had her life taken from her over a police "mistake". It's time to see the culprits punished.

Breonna Taylor deserves justice.
