considering the attitudes toward same sex unions in the USA, I can't easily bet on married right away, but

I imagine Leslie clung to Wizard Clip because she secretly wanted to know if June's dad was still out there somehow

when the efforts were stopped the two broke up as Leslie feared the CIA would come for June

so Leslie buried that motive for a while until she saw Ernest the ghost go viral

maybe after the events of the movie Leslie and June would be living together again too

Why not bring up a U.S. federal law that changed in 2015, saying its unrealistic for a 2023 movie about a ghost 🤷‍♀️
