A work in progress. After 18 years I feel like my work may appear to come from a different era but I feel that as styles come and go it has become more distinct. One of my favorite teachers told me to not define my career by style but instead as someone who can solve problems https://www.instagram.com/p/CgssePPJxSx/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Your art has always been my favorite part of the books I read to my kids.

12yo: If you were asked to name a state in the US, what’s the last state you would think of?

Me: I dunno, but here’s 49 states I would think of first.

My 9yo just informed me, “if I had a magic eraser I would erase all hate…any anyone who gets in my way.”

My 9yo son just said to me, “It’s impossible for anyone to know EVERYTHING because nobody will know the secret of who my favorite parent is…well, Mom might know.”

When I was a kid my parents would try to get us to watch less TV. Now I'm trying to get my kids to watch fewer TVs.

We gave our kids different colored toothpaste so we can tell which one is leaving toothpaste in the sink. It has worked so well I’m considering putting enough food coloring in their food so I can tell which one is clogging our toilets.

There are so many kids movies that try to teach kids to be their true selves and embrace their uniqueness when really what we need is movies aimed at parents to teach them to let their kids be themselves.

Parker (age 9) decided to make the Lego version of us and our gaming setups.

This is Chandler (age 12) at his Xbox with a big monitor. The green ninja represents his character in the game.

Next is me at my PC with 2 monitors and I’m drinking a coffee.

Then there’s Parker on the couch in front of his nintendo switch.

Finally he made mom, lying in bed playing games on her phone.

Sometimes my kids will ask their mom “how come our chauffeur is living in our house” and she’ll say, “That’s your dad!”

I wave at my family as they drive away. My kids think I’m waving at them but I’m really waving at the dog.

My wife: Boys, we are all constantly having to be patient and wait our turn to talk in this family.

Me: I’m not waiting my turn to talk. I’m waiting my turn to not have to listen.
