Mercedes is used to being rejected when it comes to music. And Rachel. Sam has never rejected her. Puck didn't reject her. Shane didn't reject her. Male wise the only one she's ever been rejected by is Kurt. So why automatically take what Sam said as rejection? She has no merit to take what he said as rejection.
