Her senses spiked from the resemblance her eyes perceived.

But nothing more than dull pain was felt by her emotionally-drained heart. Her voice remained stern and neutral.

❝---And why can't I be both?❞ Her voice draws out in a long line, spiking with capricious intents and essentially leaving that one vital, redirected question open ended. With arms at sides, weight is balanced on a hip, chin tilted skyward. ❝At the end of the day, I'm trying to help you---You know that.❞

"Who are you? And why do you kind of look like me?"

❝.. You really don't know who I am? But I guess since we're meeting like this, you would be confused about it..❞

It was clear by the second that this definition of Chaos is different from what was implanted inside of him. This was a force of nature that was visiting him from a different area or even dimension from the looks of things. But the only question running in his head was if this ‘Chaos’ knew who he truly was. Or if this little girl really knew that he was not a man, but a prototype walking among men.

"So you’re a messenger for this Chaos from what you say." He responded as he kept his eyes on hers. It would be stupid and naive if he were to simply tell her to leave him be. This could be, after all, an evil no one has encountered here. 

"But to answer you, I am no devil. But I have survived hell." He responded as he did not move. He needed to keep this interaction spontaneous and at the same time, make an atmosphere to bring her into asking questions.  "You have impressed me. But I do have a few questions for you in return."

❝Huh. You are different then.❞ Strolling across the endless floor, her thoughts aloud. ❝..A man who's walked through hell and still has a tale to tell.❞Stopping, an index finger held above her cheek. ❝How interesting.❞ An almost genuine tone shining through the artificial sweetness of it all. 

❝Oh, I wouldn't say I'm the one to be impressed of. After all~ the Chaos was the one that found you. I just came to investigate the anomaly that was disturbing it. ---You do realize what this is, what.. all of this is, right?" Her arms extend, motioning towards the shadows twined with the darkness; leaving him to find his own conclusion about his situation. 

However, there is still something that intrigues her about this man; whether it's how he managed to make it in here without suffering any sort of repercussion, or rather the spontaneity of this scenario entirely. ❝Ask away! Though, I can't always guarantee that it's something you'll want to hear, depending on what it is you have to ask though.❞ Coy intents play at her smile, hinting at something more.

At the last of her words, the Once-Hero leaped to his feet, those Icy-blue optics flashing angrily in the demon's direction. "What did you take, Lumina?" He growled, eyes narrowing as he stared down the little trickster, Ice already starting to form on the outer edges of the black leather gloves he wore. The threat of having something stolen didn't please him, especially when there was only really a few items he truly cared about.

The flick of a wrist, and she brandishes that one most-single important item to him amongst a few. It dangles between her fingers, the dimming lights refract off the silver plated necklace, a reflection darting around as the precious object sways lightly. ❝What did I say about expecting the worst, huh? ---But you really have to control that temper of yours, you know?" Voice quietening to just above a whisper. "...I wonder what Serah would say if she saw you like this?❞

        A slight shift in his demeanour reveals that he had been attentive, although he had found her to be an annoyance. Struck by the notion of Yeul’s reincarnation, the scowl segues to one more of despair. It had been awhile since he had portrayed that vulnerable facet of himself. To imagine her free of the manacle bound upon her at birth, her unjust burden, was sufficient motivation. Now stricken by apprehension, he gives his head a sway, but oh— does he ever agree.

        And—- he remembers a time when life was of value to him.         Good or evil.

The task was one assigned by his own will. Slaying the saviour would guarantee the return of the seeress— but as any ordinary human. Void of her duty and rewarded with a new life.

A thousand years take a toll on the soul, yet his heart is somehow intact— if barely, though it is still capable of faith.

        “The day that I see her will be the day that I smile again. I won’t rest until that prophecy comes true. I don’t want to hurt anyone, but the Oracle Drive hasn’t ever shown a future that never happens. If I have to kill her for it to come true, I will do it.”

❝Ooh~ Big words from the Shadow Hunter himself." She exclaims, almost gleefully. "But you know what that means don't you? Poor Lightning, she's only trying to help everyone reach the new world, perhaps she just.. wasn't aware that she'd be the one to destroy everything. Though, I suppose sleeping for that long can make anyone a bit funny in the head.❞

Accentuating the point with animated actions, arms swinging freely; and then she stops, stands still. Blue eyes become one with a storm, head tilting in his direction, a steely look overcoming a childish demeanour. In all utmost seriousness, her tone loses the playful height and morphs into into a subtle sombreness. 

❝But could you really do it, Noel? Could you really kill the Saviour for Yeul's sake? To kill Lightning would mean to betray Serah's memory. Think about it, she'd come back and find her sister dead, all over again. She'd never forgive you, you know that.---Oh, I can just see the look on her face right now!❞ Raising her hands, shoulders relax. ❝On the other hand, what's one life in the comparison to the many Yeul's that have died. ---I guess in that sense, it's a fair trade. Although, do you think you'd be able to live with the guilt?❞

For years, Vanitas’s heart has wandered the Darkness, his body disappearing completely into the dark at the defeat of his Light half. His wishes, his reason for existing, his salvation…. All of it had been taken away from him. Gone. All he wanted was to escape the darkness, but he could not.. Now, Vanitas was completely taken by the darkness, until he felt something. It seemed his heart found the body he once lost…

As soon as he found it, Vanitas’s body began to grow in shape, pitch black spikes rested on his head, eyes as cold and empty as a heartless. His body suit began to cover his body completely, a look he familiarized himself with as the uniform of Darkness.

His eyes slowly opened up in confusion, because of how weak he was at the moment, his mask did not take form. Before him, he spotted someone he did not know. A girl…. A girl dressed entirely in black… Who was she…?

Vanitas tested out his muscles, which he has yet to get used to, but he knew the feeling. It was the same feeling he had when he was first extracted from Ventus. Looking up with cold eyes, he looked right at her, “Just who are you?”

The Chaos. It carries the souls of the dead in a spectral, everlasting form. A sea which ferries those who can't find respite in this world, a writhing, restless ocean; composed of screaming souls, shouting for retribution, for sanctuary, for hope. ----She hears them, for she is but a fracture of the Chaos, a diverged form created only to guard a single, illuminated soul. 

So when there's a twist in the endless sea, an abnormality, she searches for the anomaly, coming across a form barely hovering through the torrent. And it's.. strange. For the Chaos doesn't seem to recognize him as part of the surrounding world, there's something different about him, and it only sparks a sense of innate curiosity as her weightless form travels forward. 

Golden eyes stare directly at her, somehow, pretty, in some sense of the word; a demand for knowledge and information. 

❝----Well that isn't right, aren't you supposed to be the one introducing yourself first.❞ Simply waving a finger. ❝Buu~ut I'll let you off this time, my name's Lumina and unfortunately, I know nothing about you. What I do know, or rather--what I would like to know, is why you're drifting away in the Chaos like that. If you stay here any longer, you'll get swept away for sure. The sea will grab you--❞ Hands suddenly clasped together for effect. ❝And swallow you whole.❞

"You, doing something Innocent?" He smirked lightly. "I'd like to see the day."

❝You gotta have a little more faith in me Snow!    Keep thinking of the worst, and the worst will most    definitely come. ---Besides, it's just a magic trick,    it's not like you're .. I dunno, missing something    right now, are you?❞

Ah yay! This has been long overdue but I'm close to reaching yet another milestone!
