She looks over the front page of the Times before giving a small sigh. You’d think that there would be more creative headlines by now.

Never expect creativity from magazines. They all try too hard to be different which ironically makes them very similar.

Oh—sweet jesus. She is wheezing now. Not good. Exercising. Bad. She clutches onto a bench and instead of sitting on it, she drops her whole body on top, right next to a stranger’s lap.

Christina glanced down at the wheezing girl and laughed. Are you alright? she asked before standing and offering the girl a hand. You should not push yourself so hard unless you are ready. She smiled. Let me show you.

Top five relationships (friends, family, etc…)

  • Alistair: Her mentor and trainer, he continually keeps her grounded and helps control her when her emotions get the best of her.

  • Her crossbow...?

Significant events/development from vol. 2

November 2012:

After the blackout and Jacob leaving her she travelled to Italy working as an assassin for two years. On her return she went straight to Jonathan Dexter and asked for her job back. He gave it to her and she once again worked for Nexus.

December 2012:

Christina takes on the Alias Charlie Beckett and goes undercover into PROTECT. While there she finds Henry who has been imprisoned.

January 2013:

After being reunited with Jacob, Christina is seen shifting by Sophia and taken into PROTECT's custody. Meanwhile Nico was captured by Nexus. Through a plan made between Jacob and Sophia the two swapped prisoners for their loved ones. Christina broke her leg and Nico was severely beaten.

February 2013:

Henry returns from being imprisoned and Christina is extremely happy to see him alive. It is the anniversary of Christina's father's death which effects her for the first time in some while. She also goes after a pyrokinetic with Riley as a mission for Nexus.

March 2013:

The Huntress is born and takes out her first target in an act to help make up for her streak of killing innocent people. (Make up for killing by killing more. Christina logic.) Meanwhile Jacob and Christina make a for a get away at a cabin where the two relive their first date and Jacob later proposes.

May 2013:

Andrew begins making a crossbow and arrows for The Huntress. Meanwhile the Seven Deadly Sins are formed in order to combat the Rogues, Christina's code name being Lust. The Huntress also takes another trip to Italy in order to track down a target. She is gone for 2 weeks.

September 2013:

Christina finds Jacob dead at the hands of War. She is dragged away from the scene and brought back to Nexus where she is strapped to a bed until Riley comes to visit her. Christina convinces Riley to let her see Jacob one last time and the two sneak into the morgue. She locks Riley out and mourns over Jacob's body. She then sneaks out and steals the ability nullifier before leaving Nexus for good. She is declared a rogue agent.

October 2013-April 2014

After losing Jacob, Christina throws herself into finding War and into her work as the Huntress. A man by the name of Alistair finds her and takes her under his wing. He begins to train her and keep her from doing anything that will positively get her killed.

If you have read this far, I applaud you and give you all the bunnies.

May 2014:

The rogues strike against New York and Nexus as they try and take down the company. Christina uses this as an opportunity to kill War and she sets out with only one thing in mind. With the ability nullifier she has a good chance until she is stopped by an Agent by the name of Gemma. The two fight and Christina is able to hit War in the arm with an arrow but nothing more. Eventually Christina decides to cut her losses and slips into the crowd leaving a wake of dead bodies.

June 2014:

The Huntress is tracking down a target but is interrupted by a man. Little does she know it is her dead fiancé but when looking like Adam she doesn't recognize him. The two fight briefly but Christina ends up simply knocking him out long enough for her to slip away from the police.

Significant events/development during time jump

During the time skip Christina has been doing her usual thing. She has let War go for now but she will never forget. Alistair has been training her hard and as a result her body has taken a tole. She has been abusing pain medications to deal with it but she is convinced that she doesn't have a problem considering she truly does have pain. The Huntress shows up on the news from time to time but she has gotten more careful, now removing her arrows from the scene before she leaves. As far as the police are concerned their trail has gone cold but whether she realizes it or not she may have problems elsewhere as more than one person is trying to find her.

How has your character been affected by the plot (this sort of goes with the one above):

Christina has been through hell and she hasn't quite made it back yet. She just can't seem to let Jacob or her anger go and as a result it's been just building inside of her. Hatred motivates her and the image of the huntress has changed since her original purpose despite doing the same deeds.

Basically Christina has always been kind of crazy but now she's a different kind of crazy one that makes her extremely volatile and deadly.

If Only You Knew || Christina & Jacob aka The Huntress & Adam

After he grabbed her wrist, there was another buzz in the back of his mind, but he ignored it believing it was just another memory trying to re-surface. As soon as she effortlessly broke free and returned the favor though, Adam realized that that feeling had probably been his mind trying to tell him that he was in trouble with that initial hold. For a moment he thought that perhaps this would be it. She’d killed the other man with hardly a second thought, why would he be different? But then she started talking, and Adam began to understand. Not agree per say, but he now at least had an answer for why he was still breathing.

The shove caused him to trip and fall, making his phone skitter out of reach. Now that he had a moment, he realized that he should have hit the call button before trying to restrain the woman. At least that way he’d only need to keep her busy for a few minutes instead of trying to restrain her himself. From how it had gone so far, he figured the odds of success on his part were probably very slim. But the bottle he’d noticed earlier was now right next to him, so he had to at least try. ”Sorry, no can do.” Rising to his feet, Adam flung the bottle at the woman and charged, throwing a punch as soon as he got close enough.

"Son of a bitch" she muttered shielding herself from the glass. The man was muscular but his punch was sloppy and she managed to duck mostly out of the way. He threw her off balance but she was quickly able to regain her footing. "Nobody ever wants to take the easy way out." she sighed and avoided his next charge more efficiently this time being able to catch his fist, twist, and knee. It didn't take long for her to find a rhythm and despite his size she was easily able to dodge him. Christina decided enough was enough, she was waisting time and some one had surely spotted them by now meaning the police would be on their way.

Christina ducked and swept his legs out from under him sending him straight to the asphalt. She pressed a boot to his chest so that he couldn't just stand up. "Well as much fun as this has been I really have to go." she bent over him and pulled out her gun, holding it to his temple. Christina smiled and grabbed his chin before pressing her lips to his firmly and then breaking away, "Never interrupt a woman while she's trying to kill someone, it's rude." she smirked and hit him with the butt of her gun hard enough to ensure that he would be out for at least a few minutes. She stood, satisfied as she walked towards her motercycle. "Later pretty boy."

Just a few more seconds and he’d be able to make a grab for the bottle. Only she didn’t give him those seconds, instead after a few words she just shot the other man. Seeing the other man drop shocked Adam, not because he just saw someone get killed right in front of him, but because he seemed… fine with it. Like he’d seen it a million times before and in much more gruesome ways. His head began to feel a little fuzzy, and he knew that there were memories just waiting to be remembered. Before he could even try to decide what to do about that though, she was right in front of him with her hand on his face. In the back of his mind he was thankful she was wearing gloves, otherwise this could have gotten even more complicated for him.

Then their eyes met, and he couldn’t believe what he saw. They were the exact blue-grey he’d been seeing in his dreams since he’d woken up at the hospital. Adam felt the memories stir stronger than he’d ever felt before without them simply crashing over him, just begging to be released. Normally, and had this been any other time, he would have ridden with those memories and seen what his mind had decided to unlock and present to him. For all he knew, they could contain the answers he most wanted to know from his past. But he’d just seen a man murdered in cold blood right in front of him, and he knew he couldn’t just let her get away. So Adam pushed the memories back down, grabbed the woman’s wrist, and twisted. “You’re not going anywhere.”

Christina thought it was cute that he was trying to stop her despite the fact that she clearly outgunned him and that was only the weapons that were visible. She was surprised that he seemed to have no clue who she was, despite her story being plastered all over the news. A crossbow was a pretty identifiable weapon not many would mistake that. She allowed him to grab her wrist and twist it. He was strong and his technique was good suggesting that he had some sort of training although his rash decision to only twist one wrist and leaving the other free suggested that his training had either been a long time ago or was quite minimal. Christina laughed, "It's cute that you think you can actually stop me." she threw her wrist down, breaking it from his hold and returned the gesture by twisting his own wrist behind his back. "He's already dead, love. If you knew what he had done, who he had been stealing from you'd be glad he was dead. Maybe you'd even wish you had done it yourself." she said whispering the last part into his ear.

She released him, shoving him a few feet away from her. "I'll give you one last chance to walk away." Christina leaned to one hip and folded up her crossbow while she waited for him to either walk away or try and attack her again. She placed it in it's holder on her back and she looked at the man expectantly, "Well, as much as I would love to stay and stare at that pretty face of yours I have things to do, people to kill."

If Only You Knew || Christina & Jacob aka The Huntress & Adam

This was a day Adam wasn’t sure he ever wanted to end. In just a few short hours, it felt like his entire life had suddenly been flipped in an entirely new direction. One that actually seemed like a solidly good one. He’d found his family, and he was now sharing that news with his closest friend. And it probably would have ended just as well if he hadn’t just walked down this specific street at this specific time and heard the voices coming down the alleyway. He looked and saw a woman holding a weapon on a very scared looking man, about to pull the trigger. ”Aliya… I’m gonna need to call you back.”

A normal, smart person would probably have called the police before intervening. Or avoided intervening at all. Adam could not claim to be a smart person though, and he trusted police about as half as far as he could throw them. So he went with a more straight forward option. ”HEY! Hold it!” he pushed the end call button on Aliya and dialed 911, making sure not to hit the call button quite yet. “I don’t know what’s going on here, but I’m going to need to ask you to put your weapon down. I’ve got my phone set to 911, but I’m sure we can figure out a way past..” he motioned at the woman and her soon to be victim. “Whatever this might be.”

Now that he was a little closer, he could see the woman was wielding… was that a crossbow?! Who the hell used crossbows anymore? Well apparently this girl, but what was important now was figuring out what was going to happen next. If she shot the guy, Adam would have plenty of time to disarm her before she reloaded. If she was a good shot though, the man was dead. He could rush her, but then he risked getting shot himself. He scanned his surroundings quickly and saw a discarded glass bottle nearby. If he could grab that, he could use it as a projectile to hopefully at least distract her for a moment. He needed a few more seconds to get there though if he didn’t want to spook her. “So what’s say we all just take a breath and talk about this?”

"For fucks sake, can't you see that i'm busy?" She rolled her head back dramatically to get a look at her unwanted visitor. Christina contemplated pulling out one of the many other weapons she had at her disposal but killing an innocent man would only bring her more unwanted attention. "Talk?" she laughed, "You didn't actually think that would work did you?" she shook her head. The man was handsome though and someone she could potentially have fun with unlike the washed up piece of garbage on the other end of her crossbow. She turned back to her target and shot three arrows into his heart without a second thought. Knowing he was dead she didn't need to watch him fall. The gurgling sound that left his mouth was satisfying enough.

Christina turned back to her little good Samaritan with a smile. "He was a debt to society, trust me." she said as she approached him. "Now, as much as I hate to let you go I would really hate to ruin such a pretty face." she said walking close enough so that she could reach out and grab his chin. She turned his head back and forth with a devilish grin before looking him straight in the eyes. "I suggest you run along before someone else gets hurt. As for our dead guy over there, don't worry about him. The police will find his body eventually. If you call 9/11 you'll simply be ruining your own day. I'll be long gone by the time they get here."

"Son of a bitch…"

He was running and she chasing like a game of cat and mouse. Although her goal wasn’t as comical as Tom and Jerry. She shot to kill, to eliminate and nothing less. This target was similar to the others yet it was evident that he had some training. Her failures had been learning curves. Christina was careful in choosing her targets and made sure that she had learned every secret, quirk, and detail of their life. She would never make the mistake of underestimation again. Her target ran out onto the fire escape and jumped onto a dumpster below. Christina cursed and followed, the jump was painful but she kept running. Eventually he would tire out before her, at least she hoped.

If there was a divine presence that existed it seemed to take pity on her as her target ran himself into a dead end. He tried to climb the nearest ladder but she had an arrow pointed at his back before he could grab the first rung.

"Go ahead and climb, i'll wait till you get to the top to put an arrow through you. The fall will temporarily cover up this little incident. It'll be a win, win."

She smiled at him as he turned around with his hands raised. "Aw, so i'm going to take that as a no? Too bad. Would have made a great distraction for the police."

Christina pointed the crossbow directly at his heart and moved with long, slow strides towards him. She was in no rush and she quite enjoyed toying with scum. "Do you know how many families you've put on the streets Mr. Marten? Taking from low income families is a new low but who would suspect it, right? After all it seems pretty counter intuitive but no you were smart and slowly gathered the money from hundreds of families. Too bad you weren't smart enough."
