As my freelance career progresses, I find myself hyper-focused on improving specific skills in certain areas that I am interested in pursuing. Over the last around a year and a half nearly all my focus has been on improving my food and still life work with lighting, propping, and collaborating with extremely talented food and prop stylist to get my vision and portfolio up to snuff. Looking at where I am now vs where I was a few years back I am truly proud of how my skills and portfolio have improved. With so much focus on one genre though other areas of work start to suffer and get stale. For that reason, it felt great to take a non-work related trip to Acadia, Maine with friends and create some lifestyle images (one area I feel needs a good update) Here are a few of Aimee exploring the park a few weeks back. These images remind me of where my photography started, just some close friends in beautiful settings. I would love to know what you think! Website Instagram Facebook Flickr
All your work, are you still editing with vsco, miss watching your YouTube video
Great question, I have mostly converted to using Capture One 10 for nearly all my work (especially food). I find for my professional workflow Capture One is much more efficient and precise and since I am working with food mostly all the props and textures already look so great together that not much post processing needs to be done.
Hi just wanted to let you know that your work is stunning! Have a great day
Wow, thanks so much for your kind words! It is truly appreciated :)
Playing with using a single Profoto strobe diffused with a 1-stop scrim and negative fill. Really love how crisp and contrasty it looks!
Light, shadow, and good design. Incredible space by Ascher Daviss Architects on Park Ave in New York. Shot this past winter. Website Instagram Facebook Flickr
Working on some lighting and these peaches just happened to look oh so gooood.
Had fun testing with my friend and food stylist Catrine Kelty a few weeks back. Food photography is fun :)
