My arm, she burns, but today was pretty rad.

This is my dog, Maggie May. Margaret Mayflower when she was bad. She died today, and it’s got me 30 kinds of fucked up. She lived in Ohio with my Mama and other dog, Dacey, the red wheaten scottish terrier to Maggie’s standard black. Maggie loved wearing clothes, sleeping behind my head or between my feet when I was in my chair, barking at nothing at all, and being my tiny shadow. I feel guilty for not being in a better place financially to have gone home and visited more often, and I feel happy because I know her life was filled with love and comfort, right up to her old age of 13. We are so fortunate to have these little beings in our life, and I’m just devastated. Kiss all your furbabies for me, folks.

Am I the only person that Tumblr won’t let log out? All my other buttons across the top work, but the account one won’t to let me switch to another blog I run. ANNOYING.

Brandon and I have finally nailed down actually getting married. We’ve been engaged since early April 2014, and it just felt so daunting. Getting married in the US seems to definitely be an industry anymore, and I was overwhelmed trying to figure out how to do something non-traditional, small, but nice. We’ve actually found a venue we love, and we are sending in the deposit tomorrow. I got a dress for under a hundred bucks last year, we’ve already got his vest/pants/shirt purchased, and even already have our wedding bands. I still need to figure out some sort of photographer situation; we aren’t interested in the traditional type wedding photos, but I do want someone with a nice camera and know-how to be floating around capturing the day. Blah blah, ramble ramble, I still can’t believe I’m actually getting married. I’m also really glad that I’ve never once felt I didn’t deserve what I wanted, or that I couldn’t have some aspect I wanted, because I’m going to be a fat bride. 

I’m glad it feels fun now, and doable, and it’s going to be very much our day.
