“I’m so glad I’ve finally found you!” (HEY I'VE MISSED YOUR BEN!!!)

Ben’s head shot up at the sound of that familiar voice. It’d been so long since he heard anyone he recognized. At this point, he had honestly thought everyone he knew was gone... Again. He looked to the speaker and a bright smile grew on his features before he called back, “Sarah!!” Quickly the young man hopped to his feet and ran to the girl, and carefully wrapped his arms around her to give her a friendly and long over-due hug. When he released his friend, he smiled down at her, “And thank God you did! I was real worried I’d never see you again!!”

“It’s Been a Long Time” Sentence Starters

  • “It’s been awhile.”
  • “I can explain.”
  • “You’re supposed to be dead.”
  • “How did you get here?”
  • “Please don’t leave me again.”
  • “I need you to tell me the truth about where you’ve been.”
  • “I never thought I’d see you again.”
  • “I’m so glad I’ve finally found you!”
  • “Whatever rock you crawled out from under, you should crawl back.  Now!”
  • “Well, look what the cat dragged in!”
  • “I never thought I’d be so happy to see you.”
  • “Do you remember me at all?”
  • “Why didn’t you let me know you were okay?”
  • “Well, fancy seeing you again!”
  • “I never stopped looking for you.”
  • “What are you doing here?”
  • “I know you said you never wanted to see me again, but - ”
  • “Please don’t pretend like you don’t know me!’
  • “How dare you show your face around here!”
  • “What are you doing in a place like this?”
  • “You haven’t changed one bit.”
  • “Why did you just walk away like that?”
  • “Did you even stop to think about what your disappearance would do to me?”
  • “I know, I know - I’m supposed to be dead.”
  • “It’s a long story.”
  • “I-I’m sorry I left without saying anything.”
  • “I’m sorry I never contacted you.”
  • “Do - I know you?”
  • “Please don’t ask where I’ve been.”
  • “Miss me?”

Try again?

Sarah looked surprised, Ben was probably the first  person to have ever let her have another attempt at a situation like this. The gun remained in her hand as she stared fearfully at the walker that was coming closer.

She wouldn’t be scared. She wanted to show Ben that  she wasn’t, and that she could do things just as well  as other people could (even though they were already  friends, and he appeared to believe in her). Trying not  to look afraid, she aimed the gun again, the walker  not stopping for any reason. She couldn’t help but to  back away an inch or two.

Okay, now it was a little too close for her liking. With  a high-pitched yelp, she pulled the trigger. For some  reason, this blow felt more forceful than before. It  caused her ears to ring yet again, and her to nearly  stagger into Ben. For a few seconds, she didn’t even  realize that she’d shot it in the head, sending its corpse  to the ground.

Ben was about ready to yank the gun from Sarah’s hands at the closing distance between them and the walker, but quickly halted and flinched when he heard the young girl yelp.

The sound of the gunshot caught him a little off-guard as well. It had just been so sudden! Quickly he looked back to the walker,  catching a glimpse of it falling to the ground with an almost com- forting thud.

It took Ben a moment, but he eventually realized that Sarah had just killed a walker. A smile beamed on his face and he looked  to the teen.

He gently put his hands on her shoulders and said, “You did it, Sarah!! You shot the walker!” He made sure not to be too loud in celebratory cheers. He didn’t want them to get yelled at, after all.

“I told you it was better to stay under shelter,” Aiden was practically immune to a ‘cold’ at this point–his entire body was a living disease.

The infected shook his head, reaching over to pat Ben’s back in a soothing manner. “Come on, I’ll get something set up for you to rest, and then I’ll go out looking for medicine.. You’ve been around me long enough for me to feel comfortable knowing you’re at least a carrier, so you won’t end up mutated like me, but that doesn’t mean we should ignore a cold if you have it.”

After all, Ben might end up slowed down if he was too sick to go anywhere, and Aiden didn’t want to run that risk.

Ben wanted to argue and suggest they keep going (it was only a little  cold), but after another sneeze, he felt his friend was probably right.

The teen let out a small sigh and nodded, “All right.” He felt bad though; Either way he was slowing them down (in a sense). Whether it was to rest now or likely be too sick to move later, they would have to stop. If  only he had listened to Aiden a few nights back. Oops.

“Are you sure you’ll be able to find medicine? It’s probably not going to be easy... I mean, if worst comes to worst, at least I don’t have a fever or anything.” Yeah, you could just get over a cold in time, right?

Nick or Clementine

Make my muse chose between two people. ANY TWO PEOPLE.

“Nick.”

Image

It was hard for him not to choose the man he’d grown so closeto. Nick was so much like him, that Ben actually felt normal forthe first time since the apocalypse. He couldn’t describe how nice it was to have someone who was like-minded- albeit a bitmore badass than he’d ever be- to be around.

Of course he cared about Clementine, but the question didn’timply who he liked MORE... Right? He just felt it was okay for him to screw up around Nick. He likely wouldn’t yell at him, whileif he screwed up around Clementine, it could get them both killed.
