I have been binge-watching Critical Role from the beginning

Yep. For the past two weeks. I’m now at episode 53.

I love Matt Mercer as a DM, I’ve learned SO MUCH. So excited to DM on my own no too far in the future!

My favorite player is probably Taliesin and Percy is also probably my favorite character. Not only because of shadow smoke monsters, but hey; shadow smoke monsters is a fave of mine. But yeah, just generally really enjoy the way he plays his character.

Vex, Grog and Scanlan are great, i love them all for different reasons. Vax I liked more before the first Briarwood encounter, he’s been so gloomy and brooding since then.

Keyleth... I sometimes like her, i usually enjoy her interactions with Percy very much, I often think she’s great fun, but I can’t grasp her character. Is she a naive, awkward druid or a well-spoken and slightly arrogant princess type? It frustrates me that she’s so wildly inconsistent.

Also all Vax-Keyleth romantic interactions are making me cringe. They’re just, so, awkward. There’s nothing natural about it. Percy and Vex have such a great chemistry, they’re fun and nice and natural, i get how that could happen. (Which someone sadly spoiled for me... So no future spoilers!!)

But yeah. Regardless of what I feel about the characters at times, I have great fun watching this. It’s great!

sorry, did you delete craptastic ponies? i really love your designs and they were a huge source of inspiration for me, so im sad to see the blog go, but i could swear it was up like a month ago?

Yeah, sorry! Hopefully you can remember them :D

I sadly didn’t manage to catch a video of them using my note, but I got quite a few funny scenes! This was amazing. I haven’t screamed, jumped and cheered so much in.. Ever. I’ve been too concerned about what others think to allow myself true indulgence and fun. But you know what? Screw all that jazz. This is my life, it’s the only one I’ve got and I’m going to make the most of it. As my personal motto goes; “man har inte roligare än vad man gör sig!” (Roughly translates to “you only have as much fun as you make yourself”)

Vulkri - A Fantasy World

This is Vulkri. Or to be more precise; these are the two eastern continents of Vulkri. Long ago they used to be one and the same. According to legend there was a particularly bloody war between Dustveil and Sonkun, a war which lasted generations. It caused the birth of a Kalaic Lady. She was a Lady of war, blood and sorrow. She towered over the peoples, a thousand giants tall and forged an axe from the ashes of cities and lives lost. With that axe she struck the land, splitting it and forever dividing the two warring peoples. As the battle ended, she lost her giant form, a form which had been fueled by the clashing of forces. The axe she’d wielded crashed into the earth and created a massive channel and bay. Since then there has never been a war of the same scale. Minor wars and petty squabbles a plenty, but no truly bloody campaign.

To the North you’ll find the Northern Icefields - Home of the banished dragons. To the far West lies the Shredded Belt - Unknown territory. Carried by the wind is the floating Archipelago of Ay’al Kir - Home of the Celestial Elves.

Countries of eastern Vulkri - and their Capitals

Dustveil - Axen Mistveil - Abyss Shore - Talfort Nightshine Isles - Brine Sonkun - Arna Qala Eglos - G’los Lo Shardeyle - Stenvall Lhosvod - Uli’Vi (Little Leaf) Ariditos - Ari Firstaven - Firstport Miregrove - Ban Shei Dreadlands - An eerie, mostly dead wasteland. Used to be part of Lhosvud. It was the scene of a horrific event. Too much blood has seeped into this stretch of land. No one with their sanity intact would willingly go there.

Feel free to use this map and world for your DnD campaign!

Here’s my new DnD blog!

I also made some minor adjustments to this map of Vulkri. I’ve also made an entire homebrew race - the Nikiv! I’m really happy with the challenge of all this. It’s the only thing I’ve been managing to draw at all recently.

Okay so because tumblr is dumb

I’ve created an entirely separate blog for my Dungeons and Dragons stuff so I can send asks and messages to other dnd blogs. Before I just had it as a side blog which is super annoying.

So the new blog is under the same name as my side one; dnd-creations. It has this picture as its icon.

Nikiv

“It had been weeks since I last saw civilization. The journey had taken me over raging rivers and through light-deprived forests. I had shivered by a dying fire through the freezing night and barely escaped an enchanting lady of the woods. The tatteborne had pilfered my camp in the few hours of sleep I’d managed and my mule had fed a troll. The sounds of music and laughter carried on the wind filled me with the determination to press on. As I arrived at the little village, which was in the midst of celebrating a betrothal, the citizens turned to look at me. It took naught a second before they brought me close, hung a cape of fur around me and offered me food and drink. Despite the terrible journey, the high spirits and generosity of the nikives managed to expel those thoughts from me and soothe my aching bones. I laughed through the night with them, I marvelled at their magical displays and I even danced. I never dance! Never before have I experienced such kindness. It is remarkable though; to think that this cold, inhospitable land could produce such a generous and loving people.”

The nikiv are a hardy people who have learnt to make the most of the cold, harsh land of Shardeyle. They are proficient in magic; most nikiv mages are cryomancers, though other types of mages aren’t too rare. Nikives are a generous and mostly cheerful people; they love throwing banquets, holding festivals, hosting magic shows and believe in being just as hospitable as their land is inhospitable. They have great respect for the seasons and are especially humble towards winter. All nikives come from one person; the human-born Eirida Isen. Eirida was blessed by a godess of the old faith for defeating and banishing the dragons from Shardeyle. She grew fearful of the gods over time and eventually travelled to their plane with an army of dragons and destroyed that entire plane of existence - taking much of the power for herself. Eirida had become a deity of her own - the very first Kalaic Lady. Her many children were the first nikives and the race has thrived since. (STILL WORK IN PROGRESS)

Being the northernmost country in all of Vulkri, Shardeyle is the only place in Vulkri where one might still catch sight of a live dragon from the Northern Icefields. The winters in Shardeyle are long and dark, the summers short and cloudy. The forests consist of mainly fir, pine, birch and oak and are patrolled by all manner of wild beasts. It is a solitary land, almost entirely cut off from the rest of the continent by mountains or unforgiving seas. Hard work is required if one is to thrive here.

Capital: Stenvall The main wonder of Stenvall is the massive, white-rock castle that looks to be carved from the side of the icy mountain. The Winter Castle is entirely made from Isten - a mineral ore that can only be mined in the Isen Mountains. Mining it is however prohibited since long - the mineral is considered holy.

The Great Chillwind Bridge Said to be carved by the winter god himself, this ancient structure shows signs of once housing an entire city on top of it.

The Great Chilldwind Channel Those who are not allowed through the Iron Gates might brave the long journey around through this channel to reach the rich markets of Shardeyle.

God’s Peak (Sky Chapel) This ancient chapel dedicated to the Gods is the destination of many pilgrimages. The ascent to the chapel is said to be soul-cleansing, but some insist that’s just a fancy way of saying that people die on the journey. A lot of people.

The Trap An inexperienced sailor might think this channel the perfect way into Shardeyle. Close to shore, lovely and wide. That is not the case. This channel is a ship graveyard. No one is quite sure why. Some guess it’s due to extreme winds. Others are sure it’s the work of Blakkendrake, a mythical sea-dragon said to reside on the bottom of the Shielded Lake.

The Silver Woods This enchanted forest of blue-white birch trees is both beautiful and breathtaking. It hums with magicka and is a popular meditation destination for mages.

Bastion and the Iron Gates Bastion is a truly fortified city. It controls everything that travels into Shardeyle via its many waterways through the Iron Gates. Since the bridge near Vestvik is too low to let ships through, the Iron Gates and Chillwind Channel are the only two ways to get into Shardeyle by ship.

Vulkri - A fantasy world

I’ve finally finished this map. It’s my third rendition of the same map and I dare say I’ve improved a lot since my first attempt. I hope to one day be able to base a D&D campaign in this world of mine!

And yes, you’re allowed to use it in your own campaigns. Just don’t repost or claim as your own and we’re good.

Countries and Capitals Shardeyle - Stenvall Nightshine Isles - Brine Firstaven - Firstport Lhosvud - Uli’Vi/Little Leaf Ariditos - Ari Eglos - G’los Lo Dustveil - Axen Mistveil - Abyss

Other regions Dreadlands - Impassable, dead wasteland. Shore - Independent slice of land, governed by a general in the Cliff Fort.
