Hagelin and Zucca both mention that they still talk a lot together. The laughter is loose between them during the event in Stavanger, but when Zucca is asked how his friend has won two titles, he quickly cuts out.

After one year away from Stavanger and Zucca’s All Star match, Carl Hagelin is back in Stavanger.

“Mats asked me and you would like to contribute to such a good thing. Everything is well suited for us, so it’s only to fly in and be taken care of. With the short free time we have in the summer, I could have stayed on the beach in Spain and get some sun, but I prioritized coming here when there was something I promised Mats,” says Hagelin.

When the plane of double Stanley Cup winner Peter Forsberg was delayed, it was only fair and reasonable that Mats Zuccarello replaced “Foppa” with another Swedish who won the Stanley Cup twice.

“It’s very good to see Carl again, as we don’t see each other as much as when we played together for the Rangers. We are talking a lot on Facetime and are still very close, but he does not need more Stanley Cup rings now,” Zucca says with a smile. (x)
