Connor probably shouldn’t find the other man’s threat attractive, and he definitely wasn’t going to let it show. The other man seemed to really want to get him out of the city, not that Connor wasn’t aware of what part of the town he was in, it would be stupid not to. Connor shrugs casually, swallow as he thinks of a reply. There was a time to press and there was a time to walk away. “ Sooner I get the file the sooner I’m out of your hair? ”
He didn’t really know why the man seemed so focused on him leaving the city, he could make his own assumptions but it seemed like a complete waste of time. “ Thanks for the advice, I’ll find my own way. ” He pulls away and straightens his jacket as he heads for the exit. This is a bad idea.
Connor getting up and pretending to act all tough was probably the point where Jason's patience just snapped and if he was near someone he'd of tried to punch them in the face by now just to relieve some of his stress.
Swearing under his breath about tourists he quickly caught up with the law student, one hand flying to the back of his collar to immediately stop him in his tracks and pull him back slightly. "You step out'ta that door without me and you're gonna die before dawn." Throwing his arm around Connor's shoulders Jason pulled him along. "Didn't say I wasn't going t' help. It'll be a dull night if I don't look out for your sorry ass."
