His cautiousness was understood && very much appreciated, in light of recent events. He was her friend & she trusted him enough to know that he wouldn’t push anything on her, especially after all they’d been through together. ‘’Things are… good, Robin. Really good actually. That small reassurance was enough for him, no matter how vague; hardly anything Raven did or said was vague to him. It may be assuming too much to say that he understood her-- because in truth, there were very few people who did. And people were afraid of what they could not understand-- when they didn’t know what to expect. It was why people were afraid of the dark. But to him, Raven wasn’t the dark; she was just his friend. He granted her a smile in turn, taking a notable pause in his manual labor to make eye contact ( as much as he could through the mask, anyway ) and address her directly with his gratitude.
