I didn’t want to go into details on the actual GoFundMe page in case my dad stumbled across it, but here’s the deal: I’m trying to free my mother and I from a very abusive relationship. My dad is mentally unstable and suffers from crippling alcoholism as well as a gambling addiction. He constantly steals my mother’s disability checks to buy beer or spends it on other frivolous things. Using that money to pay rent and to buy groceries is one thing – that’s perfectly acceptable – but to spend it on long weekend trips with his friends while my mom and I are stuck in the house with no money and no food is ridiculous and it needs to stop. He’s emotionally manipulative and tries to paint himself as a victim whenever my mother or I try to explain that hanging out with his friends every weekend is a luxury that we just cannot afford right now. The tiniest thing will set him off and start a war between us. Just last week, for instance, he started a massive fight because my mom forgot to ask me to take out the trash. It seriously only takes something as petty as that. He constantly puts me down because I’m struggling to find a job despite the fact that I haven’t stopped looking since I graduated in May. Nothing I do is ever good enough – which is kind of hilarious considering he’s unemployed and spends all day drinking and sleeping.

My mom and I need to get out of here. We need to get out of this overpriced, run-down, roach-infested apartment where we wake up feeling like shit every day. We need to get out from under my dad’s control. We need to stop feeling so isolated and trapped. But to do all that, we need your help.

The GoFundMe page explains this a bit, but we need help gathering together a down payment and first month’s rent to be able to move (since, as previously stated, daddy dearest spends all our money the moment he gets his hands on it). If all my followers donated five dollars, then we would have enough to get by while I work toward finding a job of my own (and I’m close – don’t worry). Even if you can’t donate, I implore you to spread this around and get the word out. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Update: dad got a hold of my card and wound up taking half of the donation money I’ve gained so far. I’ll have to be faster about putting it into my savings but now it’s even more imperative that I get help. Please spread this around — I’ve seen tumblr rally together to get a girl a fluffy chicken so y’all can help me get out of a shitty abusive household.

Belle couldn’t help but laugh with Ariel in her excitement. “I would love to do both! I think travelling with you and a sailing adventure would be wonderful,” she said taking Ariel’s hands in hers and smiling at her friend.

Managing a small smile, Belle looked into the redhead’s eyes. “Yes, and I’m not trying to hid it from you,” she added quickly. “I’ve just not told anyone else,” she admitted timidly.

"Adam," Belle started before letting out a sigh. "Adam and I haven’t been together now for a while. I’m still his appointed princess and live here, for now," she explained. "I still love him, but I can’t stay in this castle forever."

Ariel was, of course, shocked by this. She’d thought Belle and Adam were madly in love- of course, she’d only met Adam once, and it was very briefly. From what Eric had told her, though, he seemed to love Belle, and Belle seemed to love him.

Ariel’s thoughts were confirmed by Belle, who said she did in fact still love Adam, but wasn’t going to stay in the castle forever. “I know what you mean,” Ariel said, nodding a bit. “I still love my family, but I couldn’t stay in Atlantica forever- not when I knew there was something more.” She sighed a bit, biting her lip, wondering what she could do to help. “Is Adam just away on business? Or doing Prince-things? Eric goes away sometimes, but he always comes back since he doesn’t like being away for far too long.”

She hoped Belle wasn’t upset that Adam wasn’t more like Eric, and Ariel regretted mentioning her boyfriend at all. “I mean- well, maybe when he gets back, you could have a talk with him?”
