Bay Area Clone Club S5 Premiere Party

Hello BACC! Long time, no talk! 

Since season 5 is fast approaching and it will be our last opportunity to do livewatches with one another, we figured it’s high time for another watch party!

SO, we are having an Orphan Black Season 5 Premiere Party at @spacenuggetrey ‘s apartment in the East Bay! 

Details:

What: S5 premiere party!

When: Saturday, June 10 5pm- 10pm 

Where: @spacenuggetrey’s apartment in El Cerrito, conveniently close to BART

They don’t have BBC America, so we will find a stream to watch or get the episode in another means and we can put it on their TV and make it all fancy!

Let’s do one last shebang in the Bay and have OB themed food and good times once again. 

Anyone is welcome! If you’re interested in coming, please send an ask to this blog to RSVP and we will connect you with the address of the party location! Please keep in mind that the apartment is not the largest space, so we may not be able to accommodate a huge number of people, but if we get a large enough interest, there may be opportunities for all of us to get a hotel room or two for cheap!

There will be a S5 Finale party in LA, with @socalcloneclub, a repeat of our epic @bayareacloneclub /@socalcloneclub S3 premiere party of yore. So stay tuned for that, as well!

Hello friends. Sestras. Brother sestras. Everybody. It has been quite a while. How’s everyone?

So we all know that this June marks the end of an era. It’s the end of the trip, man. The last season. The final hurrah. This means we are long overdue for a shindig! Bay Area Clone Club Meetup @ SF Pride!

Hi all,

I sent out a “gathering interest” post a few weeks ago, and now pride is just around the corner! So here is a plan of sorts, for our expected adventuring:

WHERE: 

San Francisco. We will meet up in front of the SF public library! There we can exchange names, pronouns, and url’s. Basically group up before we head out

HOW:

There’s loads of public transportation like BART, and this whole webpage

WHEN: 

Sunday, June 28th, at about 9:45-10 am. The parade kicks off at about 10:30 (possibly later if there is a delay) and we need sometime to find a good place to watch from.

WHAT:

Watching the Pride Parade! Grabbing lunch! Meeting new awesome people who love OB! Hanging out! Having fun in SF! Screaming about hiatus and Orphan Black in general! + Lots of other things!

Bay Area Clone Club Meetup: Today @ 5!!

Hey y’all! Here’s an update about tonight’s meetup! 

When I last updated y’all, we weren’t able to do the Real Escape game, but we are still going to meet up in Japantown and hang out, then go to dinner, and then possibly bowling!!

Here’s the details!

TONIGHT!!

Meet at 5:00pm in the Peace Pagoda in front of Japan Center West Mall in Japantown, San Francisco(that link will show you how to get there by car & public transportation)

Japan Center Malls: West 1737 Post Street San Francisco, CA 94115 

From there, we will shop around and hang out, possibly get some ramen dinner! Then we will head over to another part of town to go bowling!!

We can take MUNI to downtown to go to Lucky Strike Bowling on King Street: 

Lucky Strike 200 King St. San Francisco, CA 94107

(For those of you who are coming later in the evening, we’ll try to be at Lucky Strike around 8:30ish!)

Hello folks! So after gauging interest for another Bay Area Clone Club Meetup, we’re officially planning things!

WHAT:

Gallivanting around San Francisco’s Japantown and then playing a Real Escape Game: Escape from the Time Travel Lab! Meeting people! Shenanigansing! Perhaps talking about the ethical quandries involved in cloning!

WHEN:

Wednesday, April 1!

We’ll start to meet up in the city at 5:00pm, and then the Real Escape Game will start at 8:30pm (though we need to be there at 8)

WHO:

YOU ALL!! And also we’ll be having special guests joining us visiting from socalcloneclub -tatianathevampireslayer and tittymalaysia, as well as politeyeti coming all the way from Australia ohhhh yeah!

hey bay area clone club: meetup?

Hey y’all! Since our last meetup at the Exploratorium in December went so well, I figured its soon time for another one!

I’ve been having an idea rumbling around in my brain for months for a really fun activity we could do — anyone interested in doing a Real Escape Game in San Francisco? We could make it sometime in March!

It’s a game where you get a team of up to 11 people together and using teamwork and clues you uncover, you try to escape from a locked room filled with riddles and puzzles and cool objects! They have one themed just as a regular room, and one themed as a Time Travel Lab (personally I’d be down for that one)

Check out the link for details, but it’s really fun! It’s all ages, takes about 2 hours, and then we could wander around Japantown before and after!

It costs $28, but if you’re short on cash, I’m sure we could all get together and help you out!

Bay Area Clone Club Meetup: Thurs, Dec 4 @ the Exploratorium!

Hello friends! 

So it’s kinda last minute notice, but I want to announce to y’all that there will be a Bay Area Clone Club meetup this week! politeyeti is visiting from Australia and so why not just turn it into an awesome clone club meetup!

When: Thursday, December 4, 6-10pm

Where: The Exploratorium, Pier 15/17, San Francisco

What: We will be exploring the museum and having shenanigans at the “After Dark” adults only night, mixing science, art, and cocktails (this is an 18+ event, so apologies to Bay Area clone clubbers who are minors—we will get you next time!). 

This month’s After Dark is themed Glow, and you can check out all the cool stuff that’s going on here. 

Tickets to the museum for After Dark are $15, and you can buy your tickets in advance on the Exploratorium’s website so you don’t have to wait in line!

(Also, if anyone has trouble getting the $15 together, I work at the Exploratorium and can get 1 person in for free, so please message me.)

We’ll plan on meeting in front of the museum at 5:45-6 at the Comet sculpture and then all go in together!
