Our new Scout Boot in Wheat Harvest, from Tazman Leather in ME. An oily and very waxy leather, heavy weight with a ton of pull up. It will wear incredibly well and age even better. We've added an extra eyelet to our Scout Boot, making it a bit more symmetrical. We've also corrected the vamp and plug to bring it more in line with the sizing of our other styles, the older pattern tended to be a bit more shallow. I really like this progression, it seems like a natural next step for the style. I hope you like! Details on our newest boot, the 7 eyelet handsewn Field Boot (style 31001) in HH BOmber Rough Out. This make up is in a tannage from Tazman tannery in Heartland ME, the leather is specifically tanned to be used as a RO leather which leads to some amazing results. If you look closely you can see the dark spots around where the plug and vamp meet (the handsewing on the toe) this is caused from the handsewers awl (which is always coated in wax to make it smoother to pierce the leather) taking some of the wax out of the leather with it when they are creating the punches to handsew which darkens each punch of the awl.
