I'm gonna say a controversial thing.
Jeffrey Dahmer was abused and mentally ill. Things could have been different. It's not romanticizng if people wish things were different. It's not weird to find him attractive. What IS weird is literally wanting to be with him. Literally like thirsting over him like people do with celebrities. That's the weird thing. Not literally feeling bad and thinking of things that could be changed to avoid him becoming a monster. Okay? Okay.
Because at the end of the day he was a person. A living, breathing person with thoughts and feelings. I did read that be had borderline personality disorder. I have that too. He was not socialized. He didn't know how to handle rejection at all. Or social interactions. Social cues. Because he was so isolated and neglected. Some people are "off". Me included. We have feelings. We have dreams. Be fucking nice but do have your boundaries. Be fucking nice though. Do people nowadays not get nuance? Jeffery was a monster due to his unfortunate circumstances and mental illness. You can pity his situation but don't romanticize the crimes. He destroyed families. Remember that.
