"WHAAAGH!" He obviously was not expecting that with how he jumped back.
"Jeeze, Star. You scared me!"
"Oh--my apologies! I did not mean for that to be frightening. Perhaps if you did not miss practice, this would have never happened."
She might be laughing just a little at his surprise.
Cue the facepalm.
"No, it’s like, you know how oceans have waves? And how people normally wave with their hands? It’s like that. It’s a play on words.”
"Oh!"
A little delayed, but there's the laughter. "Allow me to try! Knock knock!"
I was told by a certain Jake Long mun that you are pretty freakin’ awesome.
oh god i just got really embarrassed //
but... dat mikasa tho
"Hey, that was pretty good. You’ve got the disapproving look down!"
"Joy!"
She'll grin, thinking of another. Standing stiff, she gave Beast Boy a serious look that lasted moments.
And suddenly, she jumps with a scream. "Booyah!"
"Yeah, it’s a joke but I haven’t told you the punch line yet. But yeah, it’s like, what did one ocean say to the other ocean?”
Pause for dramatic effect.
"Nothing, they just waved."
"... I do not understand. Oceans do not have arms or hands to wave with."
"Tamaran?"
Kira would have to look that up later. She giggled as well when the girl called her cute. By now, she was already used to people calling her cute. Her eyes widened when she remembered something.
"Oh, yeah! My name’s Kira, by the way. What’s yours?"
"Starfire!" More than happy to introduce herself, Starfire set the other down and began to float.
"Kira... such a pretty name! Does it mean anything special?"
"Come on, Star. It’s just one time!"
"You know what he will say to that?"
Que Robin impression. "One time will turn into two times, then three, then four. Soon we will not even see you on the battlefield, where we really need you."
She busted into a fit of giggles, proud of her terrible impression. "Was that alright? Did I do it well?"
The hour passed by quickly--her elated mood and excited attitude while picking an outfit (of course, with Silkie's valued opinion helping her choose) for attending the theater with her only friend of the female persuasion in the tower seemed to turn minutes into seconds; and then finally, finally it was time to go.
Starfire held the two tickets in her hand, Night of the Alien Undead printed finely on the small pieces of paper. She had bought the tickets before even asking her dark haired companion if she would be willing to go--needless to say, she may have gotten a bit too excited at the idea of it all.
But as she walked down the hallway, the dark blue polo dress she wore suddenly felt so suffocating--why did she even dress up? Why was she trying to impress Raven? They were already established as friends. Sudden embarrassment about the whole thing crept into her as black boots stopped in front of the other's room, staring at the shut door as if it should open on her command.
She tucked the tickets into her handbag, squeezing it. "... Raven?" She'd always felt just a bit nervous around the other, afraid to say the wrong thing to set her off. But this--this was on a whole different level, one she wasn't quite sure if she wanted to understand.
Her knuckles rapped gently on the door and she shifted her weight as she awaited response.

"Oh, come on! Don’t give me the puppy eyes."
Her facial expression changed into a light chuckle as she stuck out her thumb towards the Tower T, closing her one eye shut to see how big it was. Like always, she was planning revenge and knowing from what she could see with Starfire, she was going to have a little problem with it. No offence to Starfire or anything. Really! She’s adorable! But again, Shego disapproves.
"Hey, Star! Wait, is it okay if I can call you that? —— Do you want to have a girl’s night out?”
"It is most alright!"
Girl's Night Out--the magic words that made Starfire's eyes light up with joy. "But--I thought you did not wish to be friends?" She's confused, but, maybe Shego changed her mind? That would be wonderful!
“So? Just because I am evil doesn’t mean I can’t be polite!” Vendra snarled and flew around the city block in order to dodge her eye blasts. The alien was a good shooter though! Nearly missed her three times, the tip of her hair getting burnt by one.
"I was perfectly content with leaving Earth all fine and dandy when I could access my ship, but because of your rudeness I think I’ll try my hand and exterminate the humans.” The nether charged forward and reeled back a fist to punch Starfire with.
Starfire rounded the city corner in pursuit, her fury nondiminishing.
"That is almost the exact definition!" She hesitated, hearing that Earth may be in danger because of her actions made her stomach drop. This just meant she had to stop Vendra before she seriously caused any harm--but, hesitating during battle proved to be a vital mistake. The witch's fist made direct contact with her face--Nether charged and all--sending her flying backwards into an office building.
