Helen McCrory, the British actress best known for her roles in the ‘Harry Potter’ films and 'Peaky Blinders,’ has died, her husband, actor Damian Lewis, announced on Friday, April 16, 2021.

McCrory, who was 52, died “peacefully at home” after “an heroic battle with cancer."

ok but what if blaise zabini is one of the few handful of people that supports hermione's free the house elves thing? like yeah he's a rich pureblood but he is a black man and his mother hasn't had house elves since his biological father died (not that anyone knows). despite people seeing him as a snobby slytherin he actually takes care of himself and his house whenever he goes back home for the holidays because his mum is barely there and he lives alone.

and hermione is pretty surprised when he takes a couple of the badges and tells her, "a bit of advice? most, if not all, house elves like working so freeing them isn't exactly an option, thought of paying them instead?" "i'm getting to that," she tells him.

they don't talk that much but he runs into her in the library most of the time, sometimes they just pass each other with a courteous nod and sometimes when the library is full they sit with each other and study. blaise is super smart, top 3 in their year with hermione and draco, so he takes his studies seriously. when they do sit together they sometimes talk about her SPEW project and maybe the transfiguration homework, and he helps her with divination because he's pretty good at it because it's something his mother deals in.

and no they're not friends, they wouldn't even consider each other acquaintances (shut up draco) but they have respect for each other and aren't too opposed when they're paired together in some classes unlike the rest of their friends.

i love blaise and anyone who gives him even the slightest characterisation in fanfics !!
