It’d been an interesting moment of stalking after her cause he’d seen something familiar and here they were. The Doctor definitely welcomed the hug with open arms and pulled her right on into a tight embrace. There wasn’t much else that he wanted to do anyway!

“Well I’ve been off travelin’! Why was it me that found ya instead of you finding me huh? Rose Tyler, what in the world are you doing here?” His excitement didn’t die, he really wanted to know but he really didn’t care all the same.

Rose pulled back after a moment, just so she could look at his face. She still couldn't believe that he had actually managed to run into her, before she could find him. Then again, she knew she really shouldn't be surprised, he had always been the one that found her, and somehow despite all the odds they always seemed to end up with one another again.

"Well you know me.. I couldn't actually listen to your rules.. so I managed to find my way back to this universe once I wasn't needed in the parallel universe anymore.." she paused for a moment, remembering all that had happened while she was there. Though she quickly pushed those thoughts aside and smiled softly. "Working for Torchwood had it's advantages, and they offered me a chance to test out a device that could get me back here.. and I took it."

He’d been following her alright and he’d ducked just out of sight the moment she’d turned around. The Doctor was one who strongly believed that when one was supposed to stay out of one universe… they wouldn’t come back. Here Rose was—- and he was pretty sure it was present time on Earth, not the past of which he’s been either.

Hearing her speak up, he realized just how much she was the real deal.

“Well I thought that there’d be a nicer greeting for one such as myself eh, Rose Tyler?”

Rose went wide eyed when she heard that voice. Rose knew that voice absolutely anywhere. She couldn’t help but smile when she caught sight of him, looking exactly as she remembered him. It looked as if he hadn’t aged a day, but just looking into his eyes she could tell that he was an older man.  “Well, I never knew you for the type to sneak up on friends.”

Rose quickly closed the space between them, and pulled the Doctor into a tight hug. She needed to touch him, needed to know that he was really there, and that he was really real. “I’ve missed you so much! I’ve been looking for you everywhere..” she said softly, smiling up at him.

”—— Well, I do have a new companion. She’s not here right now.” The Doctor felt really odd telling Rose this but she should know so he didn’t up and surprise the both of them. Clara was elsewhere for the time being but she wasn’t going to be left behind either. He couldn’t do that again…. That was the past—- he couldn’t let it happen and even if he vowed for it never to happen, it probably would no matter what.

"Clara Oswald is her name! She’s quite a delight, really. Also quite an impossible girl if you ask me."

Rose wasn’t surprised to hear that he actually did have a companion. Though it was a tad odd to see him alone, when supposedly having someone to travel with. Though she didn’t question it, maybe it was a better system if he was occasionally on his own.

“Clara Oswald? She sounds nice..” she said softly being very careful to keep the hurt out of her voice. Rose had gotten rather good at her poker face over the years. As much as she knew how important it was for him to always having someone with him, she couldn’t help but be jealous that it wasn’t her who was with him.

“Well since you aren’t in the need of a companion.. would you mind letting me have a ride home in the tardis? I don’t live all that far..” she asked her voice barely above a whisper. Her apartment was hardly far, but she just wanted to step in that magnificent ship one last time. She figured he had no need for her anymore, and she wouldn’t force him to take her if he had someone else to travel with.

Finding You

Laughing at Rose’s words, The Doctor didn’t even hesitate to wrap his arms around her, hugging her tightly and even lifting her off the ground to do a spin as he held her close. There wasn’t even the slightest doubt at all in his mind that she was his Rose. “You’re here! I can’t believe that you’re actually here!” he exclaimed happily, setting her lightly back onto the ground.

“How long have you been back?” he asked, wondering how long she might have been looking for him. It was difficult to find him, The Doctor knew that, but that was how things had to be and the way he preferred it. People didn’t find him, he found them when they had a problem that needed fixing, or very rarely when he’d discovered there was a problem he allowed others to think they’d found him if they had information he could use.

“I’ve missed you like crazy, Rose Tyler,” he said with a wide smile, taking the moment to just look her over, noting even the smallest changes since he’d last seen her.

Rose couldn't help but laugh as she wrapped her arms around his neck as he picked her up and spun her around. She couldn't believe it had actually worked and she was back there with him. " Of course I am! You can't get rid of a Tyler woman that easily!" she said with a laugh.

When he set her back down on the ground she smiled softly, not willing to let him go just yet. " I've been back for a few months I think.. I managed to land in a time that was easy for me to blend into." she said with a smile. "I've been looking for you everywhere though.. but you impossible to find because I firmly believe you don't know how to sit still for more then five minutes." she teased.

"I've missed you too.. so much." she said softly, looking up at him. She wanted to say that she loved him, she needed to hear him say it. But she was afraid that too much time had passed and maybe he didn't feel the same anymore.. or maybe he had never felt exactly that way at all.

Finding You

It was nearly impossible not to miss Rose. He’d been able to say goodbye, but had run out of time before getting the chance to tell her the one thing that really mattered. More than once, The Doctor thought of finding a way to get her back, but he couldn’t make such a risk for his own selfish needs.

He couldn’t see Rose again, but that didn’t mean that he couldn’t visit Earth from her time, and more particularly England, to remember her. A few times he’d stopped by places they’d been together, and even where they’d first met. It made him feel like he still had some connection with her, no matter how small. What he wouldn’t give to see her again…. Being able to travel through all of time and space, and yet unable to reach Rose because she was in a alternate universe was almost unbearable.

Currently he found himself in London, the year 2014, simply walking through the streets completely lost in his thoughts. He shook himself free of them when he accidentally bumped into someone though. The woman’s voice was what he took note of first, before lowering his eyes and gasping softly in surprise.

Rose?” he asked in surprise, trying to figure out how that was even possible. She simply couldn’t physically be there. “I-what-how?”

Rose stopped breathing when she heard that voice, that voice that she knew absolutely anywhere. Rose managed to get to her feet, and she found herself staring at The Doctor, Her Doctor. Rose could almost laugh at the fact that she had been looking for him for months, but she just so happens to run into him on the street by accident.

"Doctor!" she exclaimed with a bright smile as she looked at him, he looked exactly the same. She couldn't but be amused that he even had the same coat and tie. She looked up at him and smiled, the tears were getting rather close to spilling, but not sad tears.. no tears of joy.

"Fancy meeting you here.. You know you are ridiculously hard to find." She was sure that he was going to want answers, but right now she honestly couldn't bring herself to care about the how and the whys.. she was just glad that she managed to find him.

Finding You

It had taken quite a lot to get back to her old universe, though when one was working for Torchwood, who had a habit of finding all sorts of alien tech.. almost anything was possible if you tried at it long enough. So with the right amount of luck and technology, She had ended up in her old universe, his universe.

Rose had landed in 2014 London, and it didn't take her long to realize she hadn't thought much out after that. Making it back to his universe was only the first part, now she actually had to come up with some way of finding him. Sure she thought about going to her old apartment, but she doubted he would ever show up there again since there was no reason for him to.

So Rose did the only thing she could do, she got herself a day job and went about keeping an eye out for the strange and odd.. anything that would normally peak his interest. That was how it went for a couple of months, though she never lost hope that she would find him again, she was absolutely sure of it.

It was a normal Saturday afternoon, she had just gotten off her morning shift at the shop and figured she could go about doing some shopping. However she was lost in her thought as she walked along the streets, not really paying attention to the others around her. That was when it happened, she ended up running straight into someone, and ended up falling right on her ass.

"Ouch.. sorry about that mate.. I didn't see you there." she said with a sigh, running a hand through her hair, and working about getting to her feet not even looking at the man she had run into.

——— He slipped his glasses on and glanced up into the sky. The sun was nowhere in sight today. What a dreary day this was going to turn out to be huh? Glancing about did he realize he caught onto a very familiar sight. A pink jacket on a blonde that he knew he’d seen somewhere before.

So he decided to follow her.

It was a deary day, one that fit Rose's mood rather well. It had been months since she had gotten back to The Doctor's universe. Though as the months passed she was no closer to finding The Doctor. It seemed like every time she started to get close, she would only just miss him. Though considering she couldn't go to Unit or any others who would have a way of contacting him, considering she was suppose to be dead in this universe.

As she headed home after another long day at the shop. Though as she continued to walk through the streets of London, she got the feeling that someone was following her. She continued down a few more blocks, though when she was sure she was being followed, she turned down an alley. Once she was about half way down the alley she turned around.

"Alright! Why are you following me? Show your self!"

The crying. He’d seen nearly all of his companions cry, and every time it broke his hearts. Over and over, just shattering. He could feel his own chin give a bit of a twitch, but he held off his own tears. Not right, and especially not now. His expression alone would share his regret. He didn’t need tears to express that.

A bigger part of him wanted to reach out and wipe them from her cheeks, but he knew he shouldn’t. It would only hurt both of them, and he didn’t want to extend that hurt. They were here, yes, together now, but how long would that last? The parallel universe was her home now. That’s how the universe wanted it.

"You think? Wow, thanks." A smile lifted to his cheeks, genuine and soft. "People like to think it’s not cool. I, however, beg to differ."

Rose managed to get control of herself. It was clear that the Doctor she had once loved had changed. It was clear by the look on his face that he had gone through more pain and loss. Rose didn't spot a companion near by, so that could only mean that he was traveling alone again. Rose knew all too well that it wasn't good for him, she knew that he should never be alone.

"Well I think it looks great on you, definitely suits you." she said softly, wiping away what was left of her tears. "Are you traveling alone again?" she blurted out, unable to help her curiosity. The worry was clear on her face, though she made no effort to hide it.

Landing in the Wrong Universe

"You know…there was a time when I thought I might take you to Barcelona. Never did - but today’s the perfect day for it!" He gave her his daft grin and threw the lever, using the roughness of their landing to mask his internal reactions.

He’d not taken her the first time around because he’d thought she died. Well - time to make up for all of that, he thought, dismissing his gloom with a loud laugh that rang through the TARDIS. His Rose was back! Really and properly back!

As soon as that final thunk of a landing settled them, before the time rotor had even finished settling back into the console, he was tugging her by the hand, right out the door and into the brilliantly lit city.

He might have clung a bit too tight as the wove through the crowd, he might not have - all a matter of perspective really. But suddenly they were just there - in the front row of the crowd watching the parade pass by.

The air filled with confetti, the music thumping and blaring and whistling the marchers along, the animals of wilder varieties and all shapes and sizes trussed up in their brightest attire - now this was a party, Doctor style, he thought. You could be anyone in this crowd. It didn’t matter what you looked like, what planet you were from. Not on Barcelona - here it was always a festival, and always a thrill.

He turned to Rose, and this time his grin was real, excited, eager, and all he knew in that moment was she looked fantastic here with shiny bits of confetti landing in her hair.

Rose couldn't help but smile, she honestly didn't care where they went. As long as she was with him, that was all that mattered to her. Though she couldn't help but wonder if he meant the city or the planet. Though she figured that she would just let it be a surprise.

She couldn't help but laugh right along with The Doctor, as the Tardis landed. It felt absolutely amazing to be flying in the Tardis again. There had been so many times she thought she would never set foot in the Tardis, but there she was! She was finally home, right where she belonged, at his side.

Rose let The Doctor take her hand, the smile never leaving her face as he lead her off the ship, and through the crowd. Rose was too caught up in the moment, and all the excitement, to even notice that he had such a tight grip on her hand.

Rose couldn't help but gasp when they came face to face with a parade. The crowd they had rushed through all made sense. Rose watched the parade, she couldn't help but smile and laugh,it was all so amazing. Rose moved closer to him wrapping her arms around his . She glanced up at him and smiled. "This is absolutely Fantastic Doctor!" she exclaimed.

—— Oh bollocks, this was just far too bloody stupid of him to be acting like such a child when Rose was standing there in front of him. Opening his arms wide did he actually pull her right into a hug that they both deserved. How else was he going to go about this without making it seem like something was wrong.

Which it wasn’t!

"So sorry about that—- and thank you, I quite like it myself. Been with it for awhile now as well."

Rose smiled softly when he pulled her into a hug. It felt too good to be in his arms again. It was almost like returning home after a very long trip. Though she didn't expect things to magically go back to the way they use to be. Rose had changed, and she was absolutely positive that the Doctor had changed.

"It's been far too long, I've been looking for you." she said with a bit of a smile. The new face was definitely something she was going to have to get use to. "Looks like you have been doing well, are you on your own? or do you have a new companion?"
