It took some time for me to notice it but right before the dance scene happens, a peasant woman sings the beginning of the song Już mój kochanek, marking the start of Aniela’s and Maciej’s mutual feelings, and right after that the music changes to Aniela’s „favourite song” (Cóżeś ty, Kasiu, robiła), which tells a story of a couple who dated and had a baby in secret. Then, during the wedding party, when Arletta is throwing her flower bouquet, both Aniela and Maciej take a quick look at the event and both seem a bit saddened – maybe it is because of their conversation before but my guess is it's a metaphor of the fact that they can't really take part in it – Maciej because it's for women only (it's a no–go zone for him, something he can't get access to in any way, unless he was born differently) and Aniela refuses to do it because she knows she won't be able to marry the man she loves anyway. After that, the bouquet is forced on her – which may suggest she will be forced to get married.

And finally, in the kiss scene, the song Już mój kochanek is resumed from the moment it was paused in the dance episode. For context: the song is about a woman who watches her lover wake up and prepare to leave.
