- gansey once asks how come ronan’s at adam’s a lot (”gansey u ignorant slut” pynch shippers, noah and blue, yell) and adam passively “well, he paid rent so technically it’s our apartment he has every right” and it feels like a punch to the gut to ronan bc it means adam only lets him hang about bc he has no choice but to. he doesn’t show up for forever after that. doesn’t even come to church when he knows adam’s home. (ronan is A Walking Angst)
- adam calls him from work like a week later bc dammit he misses him and *deep sigh that lasts 2.5 minutes* “ffs lynch when i said that i didn’t mean i MIND it being OUR apartment that’s not a BAD thing” and ronan calls bullshit bc he knows adam’s whole free-will thing and *2nd deep sigh that lasts another 2.5 minutes* “i’m saving up to pay you back anyway so the apartment is really all mine i said that as a JOKE. can u please get over ur own ass and come over tonight”. ronan is promptly over his own ass bc he misses counting a not-lover’s breaths to sleep hashtag whipped
