Love the credits art in the Bigtop Burger compilation! Just curious - my immediate assumption was that in the first photo Tim, Billie, and Steve are sending Penny that selfie so she feels included, and the second photo is Penny sending one of her and her daughter back. Is that accurate?

YEAH!! I was thinking like snapchat or something LOL

I meant to put little emojis on them and TOTALLY FORGOT JKSLFJLDK

I feel like the customer in the last episode but at zomburger. I thought they were rlly zombies.

I’ve been getting that a lot 😭😭

I guess it’s hard to tell because it’s animated but I really tried to draw doctor’s “””teeth””” curving around his lip in all the shots so people would be like “OH IT’S MAKEUP” JSFSJLDJf

Does this mean we will be getting more episodes?

THERE WILL BE A SEASON TWO

after I do the other animations I’ve got lined up

the next one will be a one-off original short FEATURING... a VERY VERY special guest voice... I’m incredibly excited about it I WILL NOT SPOIL THOUGH

I LOVE the full season collection, but why was the Weird Al line in there but not the actual episode?

TIMING... the timing felt too drawn out in the context of the solo episode

like you’re just coming out of the opening and I felt like the energy really needed to keep going, so I cut it

BUT... all the timing felt very different with the episodes back-to-back (I ended up extending all of the opening shots to give more breathing room)

and I realized it’d be the perfect opportunity to put the original joke in

How old is everyone in Bigtop Burger? I wanna draw people kissing Steve but I don't wanna do it if they're all teenagers

the characters don’t have specific ages but roughly like

billie is early 20s, tim is late 20s, penny is early 30s, steve is

Hey worthi! Weird question but for your older videos from before BTB like Palpatine's Journey did you write a script or did you improvise the audio?

mostly improvised! palpatine’s journey, xylophone, witches on tinder, that stuff--I was aiming for a very conversational tone

so I would just build the audio take by take out of whatever felt like a funny response from the other character LOL

Has anyone ever reached out to you to make a show off of one of your animations? ( particularly btb )

not necessarily to straight up make a show, but yes a few people from studios have reached out about doing meetings/discussing stuff

I know a lot of people would prefer BTB to be a longer/more Legit Show, but this is not meant as a pitch or a proof of concept, this is the actual series!!

I’m greatly inspired by the recent achievements in homemade indie animation like Double King, Final Exit of The Disciples of Ascensia, Post-Apocalypto (LOL), etc.

I think indie animation is really having a moment right now and I want to be a part of it

KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE! i literally JUST right now this second was watching it and saw the burger joint being called ‘big top burger’ and i was like hmm......... this Means Something......... all your references are super cool!

AH NO, JUST A WILD COINCIDENCE LOL

I was watching it for the first time a few months ago and was like “BIG TOP BURGER?? WHAT????” I HAD NO IDEA

I guess it’s kind of an obvious clown pun BUT STILL, VERY JARRING

and the employees are wearing uniforms with polka dots I think?? IT WAS SURREAL

as someone who usually helps caption your videos (just helps; a lot of people also work on em, i usually just correct the grammar and make everything that was yelled into caps n stuff if someone else hasn’t already handled it) it feels really good to be appreciated! thank you!

AHH HEY!! THANK YOU AGAIN SO MUCH! I never know how to reach out to the caption artists! please send me an email sometime so we can chat

Worthi, with regards to hiring voice actors, how much is the usual range? And out of all the voice actors you've worked with so far, who has the highest rate? Also, do you have any idea how voice actors usually price their services (like, is it based on how many lines they speak, how long the job is, etc.?)

I don’t want to get into this too much bcus it feels like the business of the voice actors 😭😭

BUT I’ll say, I paid based on how many lines they have, same rate for everyone, and a LOT of the voice actors actually declined payment JFKLSD

I asked tim batt about what the usual pricing is, and it was very interesting! he basically said (at least in NZ, at least for advertising) it’s based on how widespread the ad will be!! it’s priced on exposure, not how long the record time will be

I imagine that’s different for audiobooks and animation, though

his other tip was to make it clear I’m paying out of pocket and am not backed by some big company LOL 😭 I think voice actors just want a fair slice of the pie, so if the pie’s not very big they’ll understand

I'm still very greatful you put captions in your videos and work. You would be surprised how many excellent animators skip this. I love the music in your animations as well and often will put in my hearing aids just to listen to it. Overall you are a very talented and considerate artist, and I am so very thankful for your work.

AH I haven’t earned this compliment 🙏😭 most of my videos are captioned by the community!!! I just review what people submit and check that it’s accurate

I’m honestly so eternally grateful to the caption artists who take the time to do that (AND TRANSLATE STUFF TOO)

when I can afford to hopefully I can make that an official paid thing

THANK YOU SO MUCH THO!! I’m glad you enjoy the music!!

I noticed that you're really good at using sound effects that fit the style/mood of the animation. Are there any tips you can give regarding sound design and production? Does it help to have a background in music?

AH THANK YOU!!

for sure all my sound design knowledge just comes from music production LOL

I did like, watch a bunch of youtube videos of people doing foley but they don’t tell you how much mixing/production goes on top of that

someday I want to do some video tutorials on how to do sound design on a budget for indie animators, hopefully I’ll get around to that

the one tip I’ll give is LAYER EVERYTHING. so much of sound design is stacking 10 shitty sounds on top of eachother and until it sounds like one big cool sound 😭😂

Hi! Odd question, but I'm considering doing a steve cosplay and i was wondering what kind of jacket he's wearing? is it a hoodie or some kind of parka?

OH this is a fun question

I’ll have to think about this. I can imagine the texture/build of the jacket in my head but I’m not certain what it’s called lemme do some googling

HERE WE GO. I BELIEVE IT’S CALLED A “PUFFER JACKET”
