staying in.

Since I’m at home almost all the time now and all the time spent on going to and from places is cut down, I thought this would be a nice time to connect with some of the things I love seeing via the screen. 👀

April marks month 5 (*GASP*) of my programming course, so it would probably be a good idea to get together some of things that appeal to me visually. Here are some visuals that make my heart tingle.

PLEO.

green and pink is a pretty combo.

the composition of this gives me peace.

yellow and black also look great together, especially with a bold font.

Also discovered Numbered, that do a lot of interactive websites (that for some might be too much, but for me, it’s just enough!)

Taking too long to recover now. Can’t really take much more negativity in my life or it will break me.

Lol dazed killing it with the writing as always. "Nice material possessions to distract us from being surrounded by people we love but who voted for Brexit."

Daily obsession: these mushroom installations by Belgium-born Carsten Holler.

What’s so fun + inspiring about art is that it transcends reality and its rules. No one will interrogate the artist for doing that strange thing they do. It could have a deep meaning, or mean nothing at all. This also means you can be as silly as you want, aka hang a couple of mushrooms off the ceiling so people can sit under them and contemplate about life (and/or be amused by these artsy entities.)

I also discovered that Holler is crazy. And by crazy, I am pointing specifically at his famed installation in Berlin which included 14 live reindeers. Here, 7 were given Fly Amanita (similar to magic mushrooms, but more potent) 7 were not, and all of their urine were bottled and stored in the fridge. A lucky couple was allowed to sleep in an elevated bed in the same room, and were given Fly Amanita-infused Reindeer piss to drink, so they could see for themselves whether Santa really flies or not. You know what? Drinking Reindeer piss and getting high is exactly the kind of life I want right now.
