(the BDSM kind and the normal fiction-writing kind) does this character refer to her genitals as anything other than the most boring vague terms such as "lower body/between her legs"; "her lower body tingled with arousal/between her legs was aching" - we have one, count 'em, one use of "clit" in a mastubation scene, but god, every other time, there is some insane hot shit going on and it'll be like "her lower body..." and i'm like, what!!!!???!! are??? her//?? ankles???? HORNY???? What PART of her lower body!!!! you can say vagina!!!!! you can say cunt, pussy, clit, the clitoral complex, vulva, vagina!!!! AHHHHHH COME ON!!!!!!! i'M going CRAZY HERE!!!!!! it's SOFUNNY. it's either masterful writing of a character so repressed they cannot name their own body parts, or, er, fic writer with similiar and/or same hangups. Come on.

being as (1) i work at the librry processing new items and as i am (2) incapable of picking up a book and not at least going "ooh wwhats this about then", i am often (3) gently perusing absolutely ridiclous books on many ends of the spectrum, and so i have become mostly immune to the immediate annoyance, anger, etc, that scuh literature will provoke (even thoug yes I am still rolling my eyes at the 20+ holds there are on each copy of that Liz Cheney book we keep getting more and more of) but this week I flipped open one with some kind of err Christian philosophy vibe and ssaw a chpater title "Our Dna Demands a Designer" and i am rather STILL quite annoyed at the icky logic that the existence of a thing "demands" anything (this is why I hate that meme format, you know the one?) and alsos, I mean, come on, itwell fucking doesnot. our dna so perfect and complex that it needs to have been designed, oooh,. well, that's a fucking shit design mate.
