Book Photo Challenge: Day 15 Hero/Heroine
Lieutenant Eve Dallas. Tough, badass homicide cop from the futuristic In Death series by JD Robb (aka Nora Roberts).
I read all of the series in less than six weeks. Fabulous reads.
Anything about any of the characters, major or minor, that you’d want to see?
A case you think would be interesting?
A villain you’d like to see?

Martha's ex-husband (the one that stole all her money which forced her to move in with Rick and Alexis) is found murdered. Martha is the prime suspect.

Castle getting Beckett "back" for his birthday surprise.
Perfect casting. The little girl looks JUST like a young Kate. The boys are perfect mini-Rick's.
Not a fan of their names (Lily, Reese and Jake)...so am going with Lily Johanna, Jake James, and Reese Alexander.
Sage advice. See more highlights from Drake’s superb SNL.
THIS!!!
someone just gave me this
I need 500 of these.
I'll take a few thousand of these....
I've done two of these, a marvelous pattern that works with both SOLID's and variegated yarns.
This gave me flashbacks to the Firefly episode "War Stories". All we need now is Adlai Niska there saying "Mr. Castle....you died!".
Although I'm sad as all heck that Castle may go on without Stana Katic, ( I have hope that ABC will work some sort of deal so SK can come back in some capacity) this scene was adorable and gave me the feels. I especially tough guy Uncle Javi hugging his SG.
We don’t know the whole story.
The media - and I use that term lightly for some of these ‘news’ websites - makes money by causing drama.
We actually don’t know any true parts of the story. All we know is that a story broke that had informed from anonymous people with unknown connections to the show. Yes, other people have tweeted since then, people from the show, but this still gives us no facts.
So maybe take a minute to realize that without all the facts, or any for that matter, you and I don’t know diddly squat about what is or isn’t happening to Castle.
It’s okay to be upset and worried that the show is coming to an end. It’s not okay to accuse people of misogyny and unfairness when you have no idea what has actually happened.
I can’t tell you what to do. I ain’t yo mama. But as for me, imma sit back and enjoy the rest of season 8 of my favorite show. Because no matter if there are more seasons, with or without characters, I know I got the rest of this season to look forward to. And that’s all that matters to me.

[A comprehensive guide so no one spams my inbox.]
If you’ve been online at all today, you have probably seen that ABC, a couple of weeks after naming a new network head, renewed a whole bunch of shows for the 2016-2017 television season. To the surprise of no one, Castle was not among them which has prompted a small panic among various fans.
There is no reason to panic. Castle is a bubble show, and it was a bubble show before it ever aired it’s season premiere solely because the actors are current working on a one year contract. From the first take of the eighth season, the show was a toss up for renewal and that has not changed with the hit Castle has taken it live ratings, nor the significant increase in viewers through delayed ratings.
The show’s that ABC renewed today are shows that were always going to be renewed. There are eight shows left on ABC’s schedule (11 if you count the three midseason shows that have not premiered yet) that are bubble shows. Three comedies (Dr. Ken, The Muppets and Last Man Standing), and five dramas (Castle, Nashville, American Crime, Agent Carter and Galavant [technically a comedy, but thought of as dramedy for being one hour]). Of those five dramas, three are midseason replacements that are usually considered separately from the rest of the network dramas as they only film 12 or 13 episodes.
But, for the sake of the argument, we’ll consider all five shows. Of those five, Castle has the highest live rating at a 1.05 season average (Nashville is second at a 1.02). Castle also has a huge syndication deal and routinely rates well in foreign markets. Nashville also has a syndication deal, on a very obscure cable channel, and no huge gains in other countries. Likewise, Nashville also has been floundering in ratings for a few years and has routinely been saved solely because of their delayed ratings increase.
If I were a betting person, I’d put my chips towards Castle and a renewal for season nine that is intended to be the final one. But, once again, it’s not about money. Castle’s future is as dependent on getting Nathan and Stana to agree to come back to the show as it is to ABC crunching the numbers and seeing if they are interested (and trust me, they’ve done it by now. If they knew Castle wasn’t viable for a season nine, it would have been announced today while renewals were happening.).
So don’t freak out because no news is good news. No news means that everyone involved are willing to talk about another season and doing their best to make it happen. Does that mean season nine is a certain thing? Of course not. We’ll likely be watching the season finale and not knowing if its the series finale, because these things take time and it’s not an easy thing to accomplish in the first place, much less on a looming deadline.
And that just means that everyone should appreciate what is left, be it nine more episodes or another thirty-something. One day soon the show is going to end and there will be no more anxiousness about its future. So just appreciate it while its around, ya’ll. The rest will take care of itself in time.

Man got stubble. Damn.
You should see the stubble up close! The man is a stubble and scruff God.
Everything here is in BRITISH/AUS terms. I'd love this in US terms!
