You said it. Luckiest and probably smartest kid in the world.

           Probably is an understatement. I’m imagining them now having chess tournaments every Friday night, six times a night, as 'light gaming.'

       Instead of teaching the kid football or soccer, he'd end up teaching how to recite the dictionary from start to finish.

      Elle shook her head, though her daughter was       right. There were, in fact, getting so much worse.       She'd seen the same dreams over and over again,       and now images of her friends getting shot in the       field were making their way into her dreams, and       that was a terrifying thought.                      This time it had been Gideon.             She sighed, looking back up at her daughter.
