So I found this beautiful piece depicting the human spine. Since I’m a neurophysiologist and I work in spine and neuro surgery, I was gearing up to buy it.

Until I saw…. IT. That’s right. I saw what they had so affectionately labeled “the C8 vertebra”.

THERE IS NO C8 VERTEBRA. 

If you are going to make anatomical art, is it so hard to make sure the anatomy is correct? :(
