“Aww, loosen up a bit, you might break in half if you keep being so stiff.” Slippy merely smiled back, as usual, undeterred by the scruff expression.

“It would just be some friendly conversation, maybe some advice here and there, a lot of snacks to go around, that kind of stuff!”

“Is it really being ‘blindly optimistic’? I think it’s actually being strong enough to push through the pain continue with life.Yes people should make a plan in regards to the future but having fun doesn’t mean they’re being ignorant.”

Slippy sighs. He hadn’t really expected to have this conversation but he hoped that he was making his point and that his thoughts might bring about a more positive thought process.

“To be honest, I think it’s ignorant to think that everything is going to be harder and that’s that. Unfortunately war is apart of civilization’s life cycle but it doesn’t stop right there. Eventually we will have our time of peace, our time for true fun and relaxation. If people need to decompress here and there for a bit to keep their sanity, why try to stop them?”

“I don’t think that’s true. Fun is something you have to strive for ESPECIALLY during war. Without fun it’s easy to forget your reason for fighting and eventually lose all hope and will in doing so. Think of it as a small reminder of what to look forward to after the war is over.”
